Sunderland Post Match

Two more quick points. I haven't read the match thread so apologies if already brought up.

2. Henderson was very predictable in his play today. Not once did he try mix it up. I would have liked to have seen him cut in with the ball or take on the FB at least once. Anything, once in a while than simply trying to play a difficult ball into the box. I know it isn't his natural game but he made it very easy for the FB and a lot of our attacks broke down on his side.

Henderson was excruciatingly poor today, something like 9/10 crosses failed to get beyond the first bank of defenders and his passing was atrocious too.

There were two options for the first sub., straight swap Henderson for Sterling or move Henderson into centre-mid and play Sterling on the wing. Personally I'd have done the former but I guess Moses was flagging and Henderson does have an engine if nothing else.

The best thing about that list - is it appears that calling someone an "cunt" is acceptable.

Which is great.

Ok, if we aren't allowed to use "play like a girl", "don't be a woman" and "man up", how on earth were we describing Downing back in the day?

Ah. Although, isn't 'cunt' too catch-all? Suarez is a cunt, but he sure doesn't play like a girl.

Don't you dare say anything bad about Downing!

Say what you want about Lucas though, he's fair game.

I didn't think Sturridge was MOTM. I would have given it to Suarez. Sturridge showed his class setting up Suarez for two goals but at times I felt he could have given us more off the ball. It a common occurrence I find with Sturridge. He also seems to 'give up' or stops playing if he isn't awarded the free kick he feels he deserves.

Sturridge and Suarez are going to win us a lot of matches this season. It's lovely to have two match winners up front for us.

I think that first bit's overstating it. Sturridge does do such things sometimes, but "common occurrence" is OTT.

Altidore looked really up for it but couldn't use his strength and size against Sakho - who made him look shit and weak.

Strength and size are all Altidore's got. He's a good athlete but not much of a footballer (I'm surprised he got a gig back in the Prem TBH) so when he's up against someone bigger and stronger, as he was yesterday, he's got no answer to it.

Dunno JJ, I find him a bit slow at times to do the grunt work. I think he's great and I love him but his off the ball work could improve. It wasn't a dig at him. I put it down to him not being fully fit but it's something he could improve on.

Can't wait for Coutinho to come back. He's going to have a field day picking out Suarez and Sturridge.

Decent squad, that. A tough selection problem, but I'd go for:

------------------------------------------------------------Lady-Boy---------------------------------------------------

Fag-------------------Queer-------------------------------------------------------Tranny--------------------Poof

-------------------------------------------------------------Dyke-------------------------------------------------------

------Bender-------------------------------------------Princess------------------------------------------------Lezzer

------------------------------------------------------------Midget---------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------Knob Jockey------------------------------------------------------

Lady-Boy can be relied on to look after himself. Queer and Tranny would need to help each other out throughout the game. Fag and Poof would be given licence to push up hard and fast whenever they see an opening. Dyke will patrol just outside the area cutting out passes and generally looking for trouble. In the absence of the suspended prick, Lezzer will be able to relax and come inside whilst Bender will be available to help out at dead ball situations and get things moving again. The great thing about Midget is that he can be relied on to see things quickly and join in as Knob Jockey makes his movements.

Subs: Arsehole, Clit, Pansy and Wang.

Manager: Brendan Rodgers.

Henderson - he shouldn't really play on the right, cos he was pants yesterday. Not his best position.

Lucas - I hardly noticed him the entire 90 mins, except for a silly yellow card. That about sums it all for me.

Moses - tidy and useful player. Doesn't lose the ball easily and injects pace into our side.

Sakho - he's just gonna improve from game to game. There's world-class quality hidden somewhere in the lad. He reminds me of Lilian Thuram.

Mignolet - i'm not convinced. Good shot-stopper but clumsy at crosses and high balls.

Toure - My favourite player at the moment. Simply 'cos he cracks me up each time I see his goofy face. Plus he can play and is boss.
