While it seems like he signed a fair few that didn't work out, I think it's fair to say when it came to big money signings, his record was really good.
Also the costs between that worked and didn't work out. Most of the ones that didn't work out were cheap as chips, I don't think they were signed with any real value or expectations in mind so it's not particularly a great list. In addition, very subjective when Diaz is a great signing but Minamino and Gakpo were great signings, surely very similar.
