Different Gravy

Well at least tonight proved he is indeed human, but he’s still fucking boss and can’t take any of the blame for the ineptness around him.

He was a big part of the ineptitude last night himself. The lad got robbed on the ball more than he has in all of the rest of the games this season. This was the game that said we need somebody to rotate with him here and there. If that can't be Endo we need to buy that player in January.

Endo can do a decent job if needed

I agree, but Slot just doesn't fancy him. He's let Gravy get into that state because he refuses to give Endo minutes. So the bald chap best buy someone he likes or our midfield are going to start playing like geriatrics by season's end.

Edit- like what Briz sez.

Klopp fell into the same trap last season and didn’t play our Ninja until injuries piled up.

Although it seemed like he called on Endo earlier in the season than this- or maybe that was just because of injuries. We just have to play him over this coming month. The Cujo Slobby competition has been good for both of them, and I think with Harvey back it is an opportunity to perhaps introduce him and lessen the load on Macca too. Endo needs to give Gravy a break. Slot has made his point that Endo is not the long term solution as far as he is concerned, but he is the only solution to what we saw on Wednesday.

Yep - even getting Gravy to play more 70 min stints would be better. Part of the challenge is that we mostly do nothing first halves and therefore don't have the luxury of having games sealed up at 70 mins. I wonder if part of our continual slow starts is because Slot knows he wants a bunch of players to do full 90s and can't risk them tiring, which is now very ironic.

Also Endo joined the club late in the Summer and so needed time to adjust to his new surroundings.

Endo is probably the weakest technically out of our midfielders but he’s the best at spotting danger and snuffing it out. Plus you can’t fault his commitment. Endo will give everything he’s got whether he started the match or come on just for the last 5 minutes.

Someone should get Slot to watch Man City match at Anfield last season. Endo was immense and probably the best midfielder on the day

Errr ... he joined late in the summer LAST season; hopefully his surroundings aren't that new at this stage

It's a reply to Momo and Doc.
Anyway, I hope Endo plays in our next game, with I think two players suspended? We just have to have a different outlet to our usual guy in Gravvy, because Endo just can't do what Gravvy does with those turns in tight areas when receiving the ball. Maybe go for a double pivot when our defence/keeper has the ball?

If he is booked against one of Fulham, Tottenham, Leicester, West Ham or Man United he will miss the next league fixture – any ban would not apply to other competitions such as the Carabao Cup.

Players cannot be suspended for five bookings after the halfway stage of the season, with Liverpool playing their 19th game against Man United on January 5.

After that point it rolls over to 10 bookings in the first 32 games, which would earn a two-match suspension.

Useful clarification. Would hate him to miss Spurs or United games
