Different Gravy

Yeah, Kloppo singing a song for Arne, and putting so much good Karma into the transition. I mean, it's highly unusual. He really is an amazing guy, it would be easy to take all his goodness for granted.

And Yes JJ, I really presumed RG was just another on the conveyor belt of players who came in to much fanfare, but meh. A bit like I feel about Sboz now.

As an aside, my wife is a very modest person, but a very good person. She manages people, as people. Treats them well, mentors them, looks out for them because she cares - it's who she is. Recently it was revealed that people are asking to transfer in and work for her. She was bowled over. Massive compliment. Quickly forgotten of course, but it reminds me of Kloppo. It's good to give a F about people. Makes the world a happier place.
Well said.

This world could do with a bit more old-fashioned kindness tbh, with the way its going down in flames.

It’s a stark reminder that sometimes failed signings may have worked under different managers or different styles.

I always laugh when people talk about how well teams dodged bullets by not signing certain players because they struggle elsewhere.

You never know what a player would have done in a certain environment.

Except Anthony of course!

I'm sure you're doing Antony a disfavour - he'd be an absolute star at Fleetwood FC.

Nit pick fault finders.

When the standard is perfection, then you can find valid criticisms in every player.

One of the best players on the pitch yet again it’s almost becoming boring. Different Grav, different class.

He has wonderful technique and can definitely offer more in all areas of his game, which makes sense because he's young. Sky is the limit in terms of all the ingredients he has. Putting it all together is very rare. Expecting that to be happen at his age is also nuts.

Our attacking movement definitely should be better in general, and gravy wouldn't be high on the list for who could improve. Szobo has been playing with zero confidence. Did he forget that he's still the same szoboslai? Szoboslai should have a word with himself.

Ryan Gravenberch was excellent again, such a lovely, easy mover, always looking around even as he barrels into the clinches. He touched the ball 40 times in the opening half-hour. It would be a surprise to hear he actually broke a sweat during this. From a distance Gravenberch looked as if he was quietly mowing the lawn or listening to a podcast while incidentally dominating a Premier League midfield.

Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has gained revenge on his critics with his stellar displays so far this season.

That is according to his brother Danzell,
who spoke about the criticism that Ryan experienced in his first season at the club.

Gravenberch signed for the Reds under Jurgen Klopp from Bayern Munich, but was a bit part player last term.

“It feels like he got sporting revenge just by letting his feet do the talking," his brother said, speaking to Dutch news outlet AD.

"That’s Ryan.

“In the past, Ryan had moments when he seemed to dream a little. That was probably because it was easy for him when he was young. He didn’t always have to do that much.

“He was sometimes absent for a while. But that has really changed. I don’t see those moments anymore. Ryan has become a guy who knows exactly what he can do.

“They used to talk about his nonchalant attitude. But if you look at the distances he’s covered, you’ll see that he’s really not that nonchalant... Maybe it’s because of his smile.”

Danzell: "King Kong ain't got shit on my brother".

I love the man mountain, the gentle giant.

He barely looks like he has to break stride to put in a masterclass, it’s bizarre. Whereas poor Mac looks like he’s been running on empty before the season even began and he can’t get to the same level Grav has shown.
