Altidore looked really up for it but couldn't use his strength and size against Sakho - who made him look shit and weak.

Someone post Toures latest Instagram photo. Modo?
Toure is a Legend!! We're talking close to a Gary Mac sgning in my eyes, or at least he could be.

Suck on the black long enough and you get to the white gooeyness.

All these fuckin boss n******

Just say it you shit bags.

FFF: Edited. Can't say that Pete.

Yeah, the team is looking tasty now.

On multiple levels even

We have the crispy, gritty, steely outer edges surrounding the soft, white, ultra viscous center. When the two cookie halves get pulled apart, the soft, white, middle just can't keep the two linked up.

Loved Kolo powering Giacherrina (sp??) off the ball and then defusing the situation with a boss smile on his face.

It's hard not to like Kolo.

I'm going to start backing him for first goal. He'll power in a header soon for us.

Kolo's already hit the bar, and had another ruled out for offsides, hasn't he?

- Again, Moses is not a number 10.

- Those two up front are a pisstake. We'll win games we shouldn't just because of them.

- Invited needless pressure onto ourselves in the first half by Gerrard dropping too deep. Move up the fucking ground Stevie, especially when we're in possession.

- Yep, Toure immense.

- Altidore is fucking rubbish by the way.

- We don't have the players to play 3-5-2 against good sides. Your wide men in a 5 will always get lots of it. That's where it'll hurt us, cos our widemen do fuck all with it.

- Despite the win, there's something still not tight out there. I don't like the midfield shape, and the gaps we leave between central midfield and attack are far too big at times. I'll take the win, damn straight, but we need to sort our shape out if we're really gonna push for top 4.

- Told you after game 1 that Mignolet would give away a goal from palming out like that.

Said the same during the game to my brother. Far too much space between the midfield and the attack. Moses definitely doesn't belong in the middle.

- Oh, and sure all the plaudits are going Kolo's way (and fair enough, he's not been bad at all), but Skrtel has been as good if not better since he came into the side. He's been monstrous back there.

Yes there's the Moses problem. But there's also the 'Gerrard-standing-beside-Lucas' problem too. Move up the fucking ground. He's trying to influence from far too deep and it just invites pressing.

Ha, loved that pic of Kolo. That's the one I was trying to describe in my post above.

HE-RO.

I hope Rodgers sticks with this formation. We have better widemen on the bench so its not a problem. Also when coutinho comes back to find he has a free role behind suarez and sturridge, good things will happen

Moses needs to go out on the right. Henderson back in the middle. Henderson isn't a number 10 but he isn't pulling up any trees out wide right and Moses will excel out there.

Who are the better widemen on the bench for the 3-5-2 Dantes?

That too. Noticed that Gerrard often decides to play it long to someone on the wing instead of building the play from midfield. It's a great way to relieve pressure and also got us a goal today but the receiver often gets isolated because we don't have enough players in attack so nothing comes from it. I wish he'd stop doing that.

Would be interesting to see Allen in that role.

I didn't think Sturridge was MOTM. I would have given it to Suarez. Sturridge showed his class setting up Suarez for two goals but at times I felt he could have given us more off the ball. It a common occurrence I find with Sturridge. He also seems to 'give up' or stops playing if he isn't awarded the free kick he feels he deserves.

Sturridge and Suarez are going to win us a lot of matches this season. It's lovely to have two match winners up front for us.

Kolo is just brilliant. His Instagram account especially!

Mignolet made a late reaction save to a difficult shot, same as any keeper he touched it away. Hardly packie bonner style. Can't see any other keeper doing differently

Hopefully the players are realizing we can make the CL, if we have the bottle.

Two more quick points. I haven't read the match thread so apologies if already brought up.

1. Mignolet needs to stop this parrying shit he is doing. Pepe was excellent at taking the ball into his body. Fair enough if he was blind sided by a packed box but he seems to have a habit of pushing the ball out instead of taking it in. Dangerous game to be playing.

2. Henderson was very predictable in his play today. Not once did he try mix it up. I would have liked to have seen him cut in with the ball or take on the FB at least once. Anything, once in a while than simply trying to play a difficult ball into the box. I know it isn't his natural game but he made it very easy for the FB and a lot of our attacks broke down on his side.
