Different Gravy

Bossed it at Ipswich

"Yeah but it's 1 game"

Bossed it at Brentford

"Yeah but he needs to do it in bigger games"

Bossed it at Utd

"Yeah but we know Utd are shit, he needs to be properly tested"

Let's skip past Forest (despite him being our best/2nd best player there too)

Bosses it at the San Siro.

So what's the next line for him to step up to the mark to? He'll continue to knock it out the park.

Ah jaysis. The binomial curse. 🤣

I’ve seen a couple of his game highlight videos on here. Is there a source for those? My son plays a six and loves watching and learning from him.

Thought he was class again the other night, he promotes that quick feet thing on the edge of the box where we get ourselves on the break quickly, too quick for the opposition to react to, that's the really brilliant thing to come out of him playing there. I still think there will be times when the lack of a natural defensive player there will hurt us, but in terms of a possession winning player who turns us from defense to attack in a heartbeat with quick feet, I don't think we've had someone like that since Gini.

Like I said in the match thread, I wouldn’t trade him for anyone.

I think in this game, despite a couple of unfharacteristic misplaced passes, he showed more of an attacking dimension, very willing to drive forward with the ball and taking shots from distance. I love it - I think he’s not content just to be a water-carrier in from of the back 4, so he is looking for ways to expand the boundaries of his role - that’s what truly talented players do. He will be an attacking factor for us this season, I’m sure of it.

His first touch is superb. He seems to be able to control the ball at all sorts of paces, heights and move it first time exactly where he needs it to progress a move. This is what i think Slot loves when you think about comments of Jones slowing the game down in pre season.

I have to say I thought he was fucking horrendous last season and didn't see why we're paying £150k/week for a gangly inept spat to get in the way of Jones' development.

This season - Wow! Thank goodness I'm not in charge :-D

It's almost like judging a 21 year old in his first season at the club and in the premier league might be too hasty!
Hindsight 🙂. We've had so many over the last 20 years have not had the revelation Ryan has. Plus is it Slot related? Would he have bloomed under Juergen? Juergen was definately not getting a tune out of him on the left. Slot's system clearly liberated him
