Joe Allen normally plays in a defensive midfield position - I think Pjancic would be wasted there. He's an attacking midfielder ... We have many of those already, next.

You don't need TWO dedicated runners in the midfield who can't really dictate the play i.e Xavi, toure. One is enough!
I'm not against someone like Henderson, he's clearly a vastly improved player but he's not what the top 4 teams would crave for.
Milner in my eyes is a better version of Henderson and offers more of a threat so i'd arguably place him ahead of him.
A midfield like Illaramendi, Pjanic Milner and Coutinho would be ideal.

Though that type of midfield with Firmino and Sturridge would be good enough to scare most teams in this league.
atm, its our midfield that stands out as the weakness area. Lucas milner and henderson is clearly something which doesn't strike fear into TOP opposition.
Yeah but you could say the same about any top class player until we have a team like Barcelona. I dunno, I'm a bit sick of transfers to be honest, they drag out for so fucking long nowadays, with twitter adding to the shit stew. There's no joy in seeing these players announced and in the shirt anymore because you've known they've been signing for three months.
Anyway, I suppose I shouldn't be such a grumpy bastard, but it would seem silly to be signing more players without addressing left back and defensive midfield because these aren't just the areas of the pitch we're lacking quality, we're also lacking numbers. We're going to start the season with defensive midfield options being Lucas who may well be pretty jaded at the prospect of being first choice then not being first choice again, and Joe Allen who hasn't had more than 5 games for us in the same position. And then left back options being Moreno, who can't defend and lost attacking ability halfway through the season, two young players who have barely played left back in their careers (Gomez and Wisdom), and eventually Flanagan. A right back.
I wouldn't touch everyone with a bargepole. Everyone lacks pace, doesn't score enough goals and is overrated.

In an interview when he was being linked with us before, he seemed distinctly underwhelmed at the prospect of playing for LFC anyway.
