I’ll just say it…

What would you do in the summer?

I think he’s 100% gone if Ali’s still here.

The 1 game to 50% is for your benefit - I’m trying to tease out your typing point because you’re being vague.

As far as I’m concerned, his age, injury history and the fact it seems to be becoming more frequent, added to his contract length and value - and by that I mean to us as an actual player and as a sellable asset - leads me to think there’s a very legitimate question over whether we should let him go sooner rather than later.

Its the one area of the pitch where we have “future proofed” if we do want to let him go.

I said earlier one or both of Ali will likely be off in the summer otherwise we accept zero or next to zero in terms of transfer income for both when they leave on a free.

I’m not fixed at on an outcome as yet.
I think it’s a dangerous game to say we are future proofed. Ali is the best keeper we’ve had since Ray, my tipping point is when his performances drop or his understudy isn’t good enough to cover why injury period. Neither of those are true yet.

Wasn't he a CB before coming to the Prem? If so, he can't have impressed much for club or country in that position to be shunted out to LB in the first place. I wanted us to sign him last summer but it begins to look like it's a good job we didn't..
