Other forum meltdown watch 24/25

Both fair points. But financial clout sure doesn't hurt, does it..?

He's never had to do what our Jurgen did, or other true greats have... He's ALWAYS had the world's best team handed to him, consisting of the world's best players, all over the pitch. That's all I'm saying.

I honestly believe that if Jurgen and he had swapped places 10 years back, we'd have one less title and one less European Cup that we do now, and they'd be chasing their 8th straight title and they've have at least two more European Cups.
Don't get me wrong what Jürgen did was incredible. We can again look at Man U and their failure despite having more money.

Let's see where City end up at the season close before judging how Pep has done. They're only a handful of points off where they were last season. Although it doesn't look likely at the moment, they could turn it on and rip through the second half of the season.

Still a mangy dogfucker though either way.

Yes, of course tales of their demise are greatly premature, but even if they do recover and end the year strong again, it won't make him a better coach, in my mind - It's because they don't really have a problem... They're missing ONE player of any import.

It's tough to compare. He's solving a different problem than many other managers.

Would I back him in a relegation fight? Probably not. But tbf there have been a lot of managers who have managed ultra rich clubs. Few if any have delivered the results he has, along with his overall influence on the style of play used across many leagues and countries.

He's a bitter, insular wanker. But he's delivered success within the specific context he's operated: taking top clubs and making them nearly untouchable.

On Pep, this. He picks the same shit week in, week out. The same shit that don’t look arsed. The same shit that dangle their foot into challenges. The same shit that are petty when they’re losing.

There’s youngsters who are eager to play. And they’d show a bit of determination in their play. A bit of fight. A bit of anything that’s not the usual shit that’s been served up for the past 2 months.

Emery was arrogant enough today to play two different tactics against him (Pep) and he had no answer for either. It’s embarrassing at this point and it’s numblingly shit to watch.

If I see somebody else say ‘it’s been worse than this’ then they need to look at the difference in the players. Jamie fucking Pollock isn’t Bernardo Silva. Samaras isn’t Haaland. The list goes on. The players we have should be doing better than what they are and it stems from one man - Pep.

He takes the plaudits - rightly - when things go right and he should be able to take responsibility when it’s going wrong. Highlighting injuries in press conferences? Do me a favour.

Whatever he’s been doing over the past 2 months hasn’t worked and he hasn’t changed it at all.

Same high line. Same players. Same tactics. Same blunt attack. Same tepid defence.

All while we have players at other teams - who were in our academy - showing exactly what we’re missing. Rogers with his energy and determination. Palmer with his bravery on the ball and guile. Both players Pep and Txiki were happy to let go so they could play their favourites.

Mahrez not replaced. Walker renewed. Gundo replacing himself.

Needs sorting and fucking quick.
It’s the one time in a blue moon that Pep changes at HT, and he brings on Kyle Walker while we’re down 1-0… To the surprise of no one, except apparently Pep, he was once again a trainwreck and at the crime scene for their second goal, which put the game to rest. I just don’t get it. He’s been a disaster defensively for two years and gives us nothing from an attacking standpoint, either. Playing him at this point would be a fireable offense for anyone not named Pep Guardiola; he’s lost the plot and has no idea how to get us out of this hole(more like a bottomless pit). Getting in the top four at this point would require a minor miracle.
Wank. Again
Slow ponderous shite.
I'm not even joking, I just hope we get to 40 points. This is crazy
Utter wank.
There's nothing positive to take from this game.
There's been no improvement from two months ago.
This is really scary.
Pep said when the players don’t play for him he’ll walk. I think we’re in that territory now. That was a disgusting performance.
A mid table performance from a mid table team sadly.
What's the point, same response every week now. Once again on pep aswell as the players. Same shit over and over. Scoreline flattered us
Must drop Gundy, Bernie, Rico, Haaland, Walker end of
Pathetic

Players and Pep
Bottom half by New Year.
Outplayed and outfought

We’re so soft and toothless it’s untrue
Absolutely shocking, like really bad. Peps a big part of the problem, stubborn as they come
Some cunts on here laughed at me for saying we’re in a top 8 battle. Fucking clowns.
Absolutely horrific once again

Can someone come out and actually own the bullshit?
No fight , no energy , no quality of play from players or management . It’s rinse and repeat same tactics with no opportunity from the bench for the younger players
Pathetic again. Change the TACTICS. Play some youth. It's depressing to watch how shit we play. Don't mind losing but we don't even look remotely like scoring an open play goal. *Ignoring the Foden goal*
The happy clappy cunts are going to tell you not to complain at our management.

Not problem, congratulations are in order!!
Physicality has fallen off a cliff.

Roll on January.
I'm genuinely starting to worry about relegation. Until we can prove we can actually beat a team in this league nothing is off the cards
I can handle losing, what I struggle with is piss poor effort and desire. There’s no excusing that performance and no one is above being slated after that.
It’s getting so worst. Fail to beat Everton and that could be it for us and Pep, unfortunately.

I’m still a happy clapper though!
Ah Pep. Don't make me say what I want to say pal :-(

It's like breaking up with my ex again even though I know it's the best for both of us
Disgraceful AGAIN.
Another embarrassing performance with no real effort or desire
Shameful.

Fooking awful performance.

Everyone connected with the club should watch that back and hang their heads in shame.
Tired. Slow. Predictable.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again.

What I’m noticing more then anything during this damn awful period is…

The lack of hurt on some of the players faces. During and after the final whistle blows. It’s like they don’t mind.

Haaland looks like he scored a brace and the team won.
Pep knows it’s over
Same shite.

Wouldn't mind losing if we were trying something new. But it's the same shite all the way through the run.

Yeah, we need an overhaul of the squad, but that doesn't excuse 1 win in 12.
Just like being a teenager again. Lol
No leader on the pitch. They have downed tools. Serious issues within that squad. Can Pep fix it? It's looking doubtful.
So here it is, merry christmas, everybody's havin' fun...
A truly unacceptable performance by all. No pace, not creating anything. Fucking dire. I don’t know about top 4 it’s relegation I’m more concerned with. Subs too late not giving younger players a chance
I don’t think January fixes this, even next summer. The players have checked out, that was at best, cowardly. Can we replace them all? At the moment I fucking would.
I don't think the players trust the game plan either
Same shit, different day. Pep has no interest in even trying anything different.
I hope Everton beat us 10-0 and then he may change something.
Absolutely useless.
Boring dross anti football.
Merry Xmas!
Let's hope this breaks the camel's back. Something has to give

Players or Manager
Broken team.
We go 1-0 down and I already know we’ve lost the match because this team has no fight left
Same old failings, moving ball way too slowly but worryingly too many not challenging. Lack of confidence or heart gone from team?
Kovacic and Gundo in the middle. Who’d of thought it pep.
Shit. That was painful. Another media blackout weekend !
Tactically 2nd best again, current form is that of team in the relegation places which is totally embarrassing
Just no fight from any of them

I know that we're all very biased in this argument, but this, for me, is concrete proof that Pep is not somebody who should be considered amoungst the all-time great managers... He's literally NEVER had a situation like this, where thinks haven't been practically perfect for him, until now, and he and his team have literally fallen to pieces.

When we had our disastrous season in 20/21, even with everything that we faced, Jurgen got us to third that year... This overrated plonker has lost ONE (albeit) top player, and the world immediately starts to end. They should still be winning most every game, even with this 'injury crisis', and he shouldn't be soooooooooooo wound up that we're all genuinely worried for his mental health. And all-time great wouldn't be overseeing this pantomime.

I'm not sure about the never thing... the Barca team he got had some incredible talents but it was dysfunctional with some pretty toxic characters. He brought in some his players from Barca B, instilled discipline, sorted out the dressing room and made them truly great. I loved watching that Barca team and was a big fan of his there. That changed when he left as he came across as very egocentric and he's seemingly gotten worse and worse over time.

I guess if we're being fair, you'd say that plenty of managers have been given a ton of money and failed. I hate giving him / City any kudos at all but up until recently they've been pretty perfect. Look at PSG / Utd for the side of the coin.

His reputation as one of the all time best is more or less guaranteed but yeah, would be nice to see him suffer a slow Mourinho style fall from grace.

I think there's buried trauma with Pep over his failure to support Tito Vilanova through his terminal cancer. Pep wasn't there for him, Tito called him out.
He probably hates himself for that as much as we despise him for being the figurehead of the biggest financial cheating operation in sporting history.
And well he should.

Compare and contrast with the way Puyol supported Miki Roque and his family. He barely knew him but supported him emotionally and financially because his mum came from Puyol's village.

I thought it was in bad taste him fucking Titos dog while he was having chemo as well. Bad times

I e been having a fair crack at my City friend - do you know, he truly believes that City are saving football by taking on administrators who keep making illegal anti-competitive rules and that City will be due billions in compensation from the Premier League and something called “the red cartel”.

There isn’t even a hint that they think City have done anything wrong.

It’s really quite astounding.

What do the statos say about the current City run, I know ultimately it's down to the end scoreline yes.
I'm just thinking are there are stats re
Distance run, passes, forward passes, xg etc etc

I ask because when klopp met Ian Graham for the first time they discussed a particular game in that final dortmund season.
Graham said they were unlucky to lose cos xg wise they should have won. Klopp I think from there fell in love with the guys.
It was also one of the reasons, legend would have it, that we went for klopp cos the data guys popped the numbers in and it suggested dortmund should have finished second not seventh.

Klopp was in agreement of course that it was really bad luck etc.

I just wondered if there was a similar thing here with Pep and City.

Sounds quite Trumpian really

Proper shit that
This team is just a mid-table side in poor form.
Dear oh dear
Well that was boring.
Same shit, different day.
God I hate watching this fucking team.
4 on 2 in the last 5 minutes was amateur levek shit. Thank God Everton are crap.

I’m not sure how long Peps pride lets this happen.
Lazy, gutless, repetitive shite.
So depressing. Pure and utter shite
Getting worse. Promote the u18s and the manager and let them have the rest of the season.
Fuck off. Shite. Again.
It's comical how shite we are. How on earth are we giving 4 v 2 counters at every opportunity in those final six minutes?

The players have been crap, but God knows what Pep is doing with them in training sessions.
Dead team. No confidence or energy after the penalty.

Foden looked better. Proper banter season.
That kdb cameo summed up the whole season. Utter disgrace the lot of them at the moment including the manager
Garbage football. Boring garbage football. Again. It's been half a season. No press, no through balls, no urgency, no tactics, no point.
Really really really poor. It's now the norm rather than exception. We are in deep trouble
I have no expectations that we’ll get any better anytime soon
And so it continues. We made Everton look like a proper footballing side. My only mild surprise was it wasn’t 0-0.
Complete flange
Pickford's not had a shot to save since the penalty
Hang your head in shame, Silva, for that miss
Haalands penalty and Bernardos trivela sum up how mentally broken this team is. Dreadful to watch.
Same set up , same shite, no surprise really
Utter garbage, no energy, no passion, no confidence, no fight
Team looks mentally fucked.

They look creatively bankrupt, prone to mistakes defensively and just lacking in energy.

I dont really know what the fix is outside of players just getting healthy, but then you're having to rush people back just to get injured again.
That was pathetic. The last 10 mins were actually embarrassingly bad. But don't worry we will hear lots a fighting talk from pep and the players after the game. Be nice if they did it on the pitch though.
fucking PATHETIC i'd keep 2 players out of the 11 that played today
Burnout is a more serious problem than injury.
Shocking. Once again
Nothings changed I expect Leicester to beat us on Sunday..
Drying paint is looking like a good viewing alternative at the moment.
Not one for digging out individual players but Lewis is way out of his depth at this level. He didn't even know he had a player behind him for their goal.
That was a disgrace tried to hold in the anger of it all but fuck me total and utter dross… why the fuck don’t we keep attaching the players on yellows why do we allow teams to be aggressive to us but not to them we show every fucking team respect and it’s wearing thin… fucking be nasty be aggressive this passive bullshit can stop
Think the fans have every right to now boo and voice displeasure at this run. The football is atrocious at the moment.
When you're playing the exact same way you started a run of 1 win in 13, it's hard to think anything will change.

I'm sure Pep will manage to blame the fans again though.
I know it’s not possible but I’d sell every single member of that squad in January.
I would say we currently are relegation fodder. The slow tempo and the lack of aggression stinks.
Absolutely no positives to take from that match (well apart from it wasn't a loss).

The players want Pep gone. No way we play play like this for 15 games or so without something happening in the dressing room.

Top 4 is out of reach now.

We are a mid table side at best!!
Guardiola seems to have lost them. They surely couldn't be playing to instructions there. Second to everything when we should have been going for the win.
Huge point against a fellow relegation rival.
Fucking woeful.

We are fucking terrible to watch at the min.

Our only tactic seems to be…CB has the ball. Rico moves into the middle to hold hands with Kova and Bernie. They give each other a quick hand job. Rico receives the ball. Rico walks forward 3 yards. Rico passes backwards. Rinse, repeat. It’s absolute fucking garbage and if that is all the best manager in the history of the game can come up with, we are in serious fucking trouble.

Chelsea forum going in on maresca already

“He's been too relaxed for too long of late, and it's rubbed off on the players. He's really let things slip in the last two games. Poor management, poor team selections, persisting with players for too long instead of making a change when they aren't playing well. Worse of all is his lack of reaction when we lose control. He makes zero adjustment to our shape, he's just waiting for things to sort themselves out.

We had a good little run of form against favourable opposition, now things are looking dodgy again, and he STILL hasn't solved any of our defensive problems. Fulham's first goal came from an unmarked player on the back post AGAIN. We need a few very good saves in every game. This is why Sanchez leads the shot stopping charts, he's being forced to make too many saves."

Lots of this kinda thing

Hopefully Utd don’t give him to turn things around with his own players and sack him before they get rid of the rotten dead wood.

Yhere are so many threads on there about various players over the last few years. Usually one of them is the BIG hope.

The return of the Ronaldo
Rashford, the striker for a new era
Casemiro, the big signing
Mainoo the home grown hope
Garnacho, the hidden gem

Currently. it's Diallo

The reality is if anyone good did ending up ripping up trees at United they'd move to a better club. Same as us 2001-2020

We hit our nadir briefly when the Hicks/Gillete takeover brought in Budgie and for 6 months I thought it was all over.

They haven't sunk that low in owners but in on-filed capability they are there

We were never this bad. Even in our worst, I felt we were still competitive against united and the best in a one off games. This united is something else. Only Hodgson came close but those 3 months felt like 3yrs.

Fumage Liverpool thread

Scousers nailed on for the league barring total implosion, they are playing like we used to play in the sane era, fast direct accurate passing football. They are a great footballing side always have been and if not for us would have a few more titles.

The rag demise has eased my dipper hatred
Slightly, this seasons a write off for us now
We just need to concentrate on top 4.
They have a clear run at the title and probably will have little competition left by February, they are a very good team but that's the only way they wont bottle it same as Covid season
dipper hatered has demised since the gurning C!!t was broken
Strong rumours Trent has agreed a free transfer to Madrid. What a cunt’s trick to his boyhood club. Imagine doing it to City! Couldn’t happen to a nicer set of fans.

Hope it doesn’t mean Frimpong goes there.

Bradley is an able deputy, mind.
Bradley is that once in generation northern Ireland kid.

I'd love to see him at City.
Very worried they’ll do the 100 points this year. FFS.

It’s not that they’re unreal. The rest of the league is just shit.
I am sick of them. how a fucking new manager from mighty Eredivise does a season like this? on track to 100 points+ and could more trophies than just the PL...
would have understand somewhat if they brought in 2-3 top class transfers in the summer to help them but they only got Chiesa on loan who is yet to even feature a full 90 mins.

imagine Pep leaves at one point we get someone manager from the Belgium league and does a treble or a PL+ CL combo in his debut season. not fucking likely is it...
No they are very very good. Slott is street ahead of Klopp tactically, inherited some great players and in no time tweaked them into a really really strong, safe, efficient team..that when the opportunity lies - they go for it... They will rightly smash it this season because they are far the better team not because the rest are sh*t
Listen to any interview with him re tactics - he is just far more intelligent than the rest. Clear, confident, doesn't give a fk that he tells the media what he is doing and why - up to teams to sop them, yet even with him being pretty transparent oppo's can't stop them. A very very good manager he seems, lets have it right. And...so much more tolerable than that ego driven prk they had before - he ruined their best chances truth be told
Very good side but helped by us falling away massively, Arsenal dropping off & Chelsea still having work to do.
They will walk the league unfortunately
I think they are top class st the moment.
Manager is making big decisions with the minimum of fuss.
Not scared to play younger players when stuck and squad rotation is very good.
Bradley got a chance and would have kept his place until he got injured. No problem using Kelleher and happy to leave Allison on the sidelines until he was fully fit. Bringing in a new keeper next season to further strengthen that position
The likes of Curtis Jones and Elliott don't look out of place when they come on.
Well, if they go the distance I'll unhappily accept they've been better. But at the very least it won't be Lego head and his Equity members parading the trophy come the end of season.
Can't wait to see how they are going to spin klopp being the best manager ever after the new guy comes in with the same team and wins the league when klopp couldn't get close.
They look the business this season. If they're going to blip at all, it'll be January when Saleh goes away to Afcon, hopefully for a month. He seems unstoppable at the moment. The others will blip as well though.

It's a funny old game - who'd have thought we'd slump like we have done - but, presently, I have to say that I think they'll win it comfortably and deservedly, but not reaching 100 points - the schedule will catch up with them as the 2nd half of the season unfolds.
I always had my doubts about Klopp. Decent manager but not elite. This guy seems more on the ball to me. For example, their defence is much better.
They are the best team this year. (Boo)

Fumage other games thread.
Wank Biscuit still wank.

Thank fuck Salah thinks he's Erling today.
Dippers boring the arse off West Ham before they up and under 3 quickies.
Dippers getting every 50/50, rag boy Alty doing his bit for the cartel.
I’d take the dippers hammering the hammers if it means they are low on confidence when we play them.
I’m taking any help we can get at the moment.
fucking spam, double deflection.
If that was us it would’ve gone for a throw in.
they are still murderers, and the club should have folded in 85.
Scouse bastards
Fucking dippers are going to stroll this league aren't they.
I think they'll win it, but I haven't totally ruled out Arsenal. They still play with a lot of intensity and an injury crisis could test them.
Game over. Unless they dem Salah active, unlikely
It’s a goal by the rule but thats where the rule is shit. If salah wasn’t there the ball doesn’t get played there.
The dippers are the ultimate scavengers. They never look a gift horse in the mouth. Twats.
I hate them more than any other team. This is definitely a 'take it on the chin' season for me.
Poppadum hands in goals.
West Ham are getting cunted here
Piss take this. Hope westbham are this bad next week. We might get a point
Yes no chance of catching them or anybody else at the top. As you say top four is the priority now.
dippers are lethal, they look like scoring every time they go forward.
Fuck off West Ham, hope they go down with the rags
Hard to see past these lot romping away with the League. Salah will get POTY. No drop off at all in his performances this season.
Salah playing for a dipper contract renewal, when he doesn't get it he will be fucked off , just clinging to a Salah inspired collapse in the new year !Lol !!!
Reminds of when we used to do this every time we went there.
Pace, power and full of confidence

They look formidable
Desperately want some calamity to befall these fucking cunts.
They look really good under slot.
He's made them better than when bingo was in charge.

Rather these skanks win it than the Arsenal crybabies.
Ah well at least the media will be queuing up to tell us how boring and uncompetitive the league is
Since Klopp has gone I couldn't care less. Arteta can eat shit now
Atleast it won't be arsenal, it will also piss the scum off as well.
Klopp may have gone but the dippers are still absolute cunts.
Yep and Slot has taken to it like a duck to water with his snide cunt comments about us.
Dippers win it and it pisses off the rags and it might help get Lego head the sack.
It also pisses off those cunty arsenal fans.
Every cloud..
Dippers so dominant they could afford to bring Nunez on!!!!!
Christ we may as well give the dippers the title already. would much rather have Arsewipes or Chavs win the title than these lot.
MacAllister would be singled out as one the game dirtiest cunts of he wasn't playing for the dips
The media and Premier league wanting a title race every year seems to have been replaced this season with "as long as city don't win it we're over the moon",
Just don’t want the rats to do 100points and the quad.

League is wank this year.
ffs...5-0 up without breaking sweat.
How are sly gonna do the after game wanking of all things dipper ? Do Izzy and dogleashs daughter have a jilling competition while Jamie redknob pleasures himself regaling how great he was playing for the dippers ? There's no spitty to act as the super fan today .
Funny how Sky's stats all revolve around football beginning in 1992, but when it comes to league titles it's about red shitheads winning 20 and 19.
Fair play to the Dippers. They are an outstanding team and they seem to be strolling their way to the title even at this early stage. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them winning the lot this year. Bingo seemingly got these players together but it’s Slot that’s making them calmer, efficient and deadly in front of goal.
FSG are cheating cunts.

Database hacking cheating cunts.
Unless they suffer an injury crisis like ourselves them winning the lot is certainly possible. Not many teams will beat them in either this league or Europe.
