One To Watch: Viktor Fischer

A lot of talk these days that United and Chelsea both are going to bid for him come January. He will not be cheap.

He is what I would call a high risk player, simply loves the challenge and is overall a very opportunistic forward, and if he can keep up developments he could be our "natural" Suarez replacement. Prefers to attack from left to right in a 3-stringed attack.

Don't get me wrong he is NOT Suarez-class yet, few are, but I believe he could get there in a few years time, and perhaps even better as he for one won't bite opponents.

As said, will be a rather expensive lad but then again the best talents always are.

Despite he hasn't found the net much this Season he has certainly bulked up, looks strong i body and physique and it is only a matter of time before he'll score for fun in Holland again. Turned 19 in Summer.

As much as I like what I see in young Fischer, if Suarez goes in the summer, I prefer a more ready-made replacement like Luis Muriel.

I wouldn't be against that either despite having seen Muriel myself.

However, sometimes young players with the mentality like Fischer's, one who seems to thrive the more the pressure increases, can somehow jump a level or two in only a matter of few months. He will be a £15M-£20M player is my guess so he will of course compete with other more proven types.

PS I have been well wrong before when it comes to valuation so that is only my not-so-educated guess based on his age, talent and position on the pitch.

Well, Fischer could slot in as the left winger. Although from what little I have seen of him, he seems to be playing more as a forward.

I'm all for signing this lad. Looks a natural, plenty of improvement in him yet played regularly for a very good side for a couple of years by the time he's next available.

He'd be excellent back-up for Suarez/Sturridge.

Always plays as a left winger in Ajax's 4-3-3 mate. Sigthorsson and De Jong their strikers.

PS Our confirmed long term target Lucas Andersen got another game under his belt last night for Ajax against AC Milan and I must admit he looks well improved. Was not convinced with him back as when we were first linked as he was at least 4th or 5th in the line of talents from his year - with Fischer and Højbjerg being the stand out candidates - but he has bulked up and improved his overall play too.

Plays on the right in attack or in central behind the front man in their 4-3-3. Still not utterly convinced that he'll improve us long term but he seems to progress well.

He has not been so impressive this season.

Agree completely.

However the fact he has grown so much physically sometimes takes a player a few months back progress wise, only for him to come back stronger. Looked immensely sharp for Denmark against Armenia but not so much for Ajax so far. My tip is he'll start to score a lot in only a few weeks time and then he won't look back.
