You have to consider the amount of goals in sides which create fuck all

Villa under Lambert were dire to watch and never played with any real intent.

This year Liverpool have looked disjointed and unbalanced and he's still got goals.

He'll only get better, IMO, and would be even more effective for a better side than us right now.
 
He's done reasonably well considering how little we've created. Two cracking goals.

Looks a little uncomposed in front of goal at time though and I am still curious if he can take the next step if we ever get our act together as a team.
 
My main fault with him is he missed chances a striker should score,Arsenal springs to mind the most but he's already missed a fair few.

Having said that he has scored 3/7 which isn't awful
 
If we get the ball to him he'll score his fair share. Yesterday I was screaming at the TV. We got 2/3 freekicks on the right wing and instead of hitting them into Benteke we fucked around with it passing it to death and losing possession. Then Milner decides to whip a cross in from the same area and bang, its in the net.

Suarez missed so many sitters at times: every striker has their fair share of misses.

His first season he did indeed miss those sitters, and also in his first season with Rodgers. But he was always creating chances for himself through his relentless work-rate. I don't see any of our players currently capable of creating those types of chances for themselves.
 
I think one of his major strengths is how quickly he takes a shot on. Doesn't give the keeper time to get set.
 
Is it worth comparing him to Suarez? It's like saying Ian Rush wasn't as good as Pele. We need to be a more creative team, we can't get stuck in the mindset of trying to replace Suarez still, replicate some of greatest strengths if you can find a player like that, they're few and far between. But we should be looking to add creativity and goals to key areas behind the attack. Sturridge, Ings and Benteke are capable of plenty of goals with the right support.

This is what amazes me.

He's clearly ace in the air. So every time we get a corner we hit it low & towards the front post, obviously.

Any half decent ball lofted towards him would cause enough chaos that one or two extra men in the box as well could create a chance every time.

It's basic as fuck, but considering how many corners we get lately should be worth a goal a game, yet I was being serious the other day when I said that their tactic second half was just to let us take corners all half so they'd guarantee a draw.

I'm hoping Klopp identifies this as an 'easy fix' & we start to see some danger at corner kicks again!

Someone at the club must be able to cross a ball, Milner's beaute apart our crossing was absolute shite all match. Are they practicing with a beach ball!

Moreno did well in the previous game, I'm surprised he didn't get more opportunities to take corners from the right in this game. Firmino's corners were just as shite as Milner's.

Oh wait.... you were making a point about stupid comparisons. Just thought I would circumvent some knob jumping on that one.

The original point was that every striker has their fair share of unbelievable misses. The good ones, also get their fair share of goals like Benteke. No one is saying he's the new Suarez. Those days are gone (curls into fetal position).

We're having some serious bad luck here. I'd guess a change in training regimes is effecting it adversely at least a little too.

There's not much anyone can do about it I suppose though.
