I thought the general feeling was that Walker was a bit of a wanker and had become more of a toxic influence in the City dressing room - and they were happy to see the back of him.

Hate to say it (again) but he's kinda what Elliott should be for us.
The good thing is Elliott is 5 years younger, on the bench and not our captain. Elliott might come good but I never got the odegaard hype

Let's not exaggerate his poor performances this season so far. He got a bad injury early in the season and Arsenal don't have any decent strikers in front of him.
He's a good player.

He's like his fellow c(o)untryman Haaland - fine when things are going well but not good enough to dig in and turn the tide when they're not.

I honestly don't get it with odegaard. He's decent, but ability wise he's nowhere near good enough to be captain for a team challenging for things. He goes missing too often. He's 26 years old and should be entering his peak, but he goes missing for sizeable chunks of the season and rarely makes an impact on the biggest games.

He's an above average midfielder

Like I criticise the shit out of szob for simple things, but he's MILES above odegaard in what I want from a midfielder.

He upped and left the shit company to work for Milan? midtable Italy?
nope.

Enjoyed the great times at City, when shit hit the fan you'd want your senior players to stick around be the driving force in the changing room, around the training ground, around the squad, even if they couldn't do it on the pitch.
Instead Walker insisted on moving on. As far as I understand he just wanted to jump ship.

It's absolutely different from me working in a shit company and he seemed to be ok with his boss for the past 8 years
It's absolutely the same. We have no idea what changed in the dressing room but every individual retains the right to move on.
As for senior players staying that's a two way street, City moved fast enough to offload senior players they didn't want.

And Milan or Manchester? No contest!
