Also, hilarious arteta pre and post match yesterday. Pre match "no one has had it as hard as us ever in the PL and we're still competing", and post match refusing to talk about the fact theyve got no forwards.

Petulant Lego haired cunt

Actually, I like Lego and they can be fun

Petulant Duplo haired cunt

He chose to sign Sterling in a window where Asensio & even Rashford would have been available as shown by Villa. Absolute moron.

I take some pleasure in seeing him squirm, as he is not likable and due to his shithouse tactics of diving and time wasting.

I couldn't hate the cunt more. Pretends to be some sort of philosophical great, but his tactics are purely based on winning easy free kicks via diving in deeper areas and chucking the ball into the box. He has some of the most highly rated flair players in Europe in Odegaard, Saka etc. but has them playing for corners and set pieces.

In other fun news.

Saka "star boy" PL stats - 5 goals, 11 assists
Szoboszlai PL stats - 5 goals - 7 assists

Sterling they got in the summer mate - asensio and rasfhord were winter signings by Villa, who WOULD have helped them a ton.

I can barely remember that time period tbh. I only remember the city guard of honour because Silva was a petulant cunt.
Arsenal definitely did do the guard of honour last time. I saw a picture of it yesterday with Oxlade Chamberlain (we were in a black kit... seems like black away kits are lucky...)

Yeah guard of honour is every game, just easily forgotten cos it's only usually a couple of games anyway. To think we won it with 7 (SEVEN) games to go - absolutely incredible. The greatest title winners of all time. A record that might never be broken. And yet covid robbed us of so much of the joy of it - still gutting.

Well, there’s always THIS FUCKING YEAR!!!

Exactly. There's tons of cunts online going "we'll make arsenal do the guard of honour". Why? Doing that to another team just motivates them, and arteta is the kind of cunt to make them be more filthy cynical bastards out of spite.

Ideally we've won it by that game, and then we should do it against the opposition at that time. Ideally it's not arsenal.
Is it not usually the case of every team gives you a guard of honour once you’ve won it? Not just your next opponents.

My favourite Arteta story from this season was when he hired pickpockets to steal from his players during dinner just to spread a message about awareness. Oh to be a fly on the wall to hear how he's convinced that that was a good idea...

Apparently the pickpockets went a bit too far and stole sakas hamstrings

Asensio, malen and rashford villa signed. All of them better than what arsenal had.

Tel, Ferguson, marmoush all moved to or around england

Gimenez, Tzimas, Duran all moved internationally

There was a deal to be done when they had no desire to do so.

They sold a striker and attacking mid last summer to bring in a fucking left back.

They've been signing players who have largely been deemed surplus to requirements at their previous clubs and betting on them to make a turnaround and become players who will drag them to a title. No you have to say that those purchases of the likes of Havertz, Jesus, Zinchenko, Sterling, Trossard, Jorginho have not supported the ambition they claim to have.

The defence is actually brilliant, unfortunately. But everything ahead of it is completely disjointed.

The defence i'm not as sold on as others tbh. Easiest thing in the world to be a centre back when your right back is a former centre back (white), left back can play centre back (timber/calafiori) and you've got 2 deep lying CMs (rice & "the accused") in front of you and you play it tight. It gives saliba and gabriel an extra buffer that ibou and virgil don't have. They have relied heavily on the pace of saka and martinelli to be an out ball for a long time.

I don't think they were all bad decisions, but they were taken in as long term solutions when the likes of Trossard should have just been short term gaps. Hazard was a shrewd signing because I think he helps knit together their play along with Odegaard. Hindsight and all that, but I think the main issue is just bad luck with injuries coupled with taking punts on a couple of injury prone (Jesus) and over the hill (Sterling) players. If they'd bought one top class ever-present striker they'd have faired a lot better, but I don't think their transfer policy has been bad. They went for numbers to make sure a crisis didn't happen and so that they had a strong attack (and they did). I don't think anyone could have factored for them all getting injured at once, that's just bad luck.

I never understood havertz signing. Chelsea had proved he didn't work as a forward, so Arteta fancies himself as Jesus Christ and wants to resurrect him as an 8. That fucking tanked badly, so now they HAVE to play him. 60m, 250k a week, and he's fuckign dreadful. Good enough to score some goals as Saka puts them on a plate.

He's actively shitter than nunez

Trossard was always an extra winger to help with depth, as martinelli usually picked up knocks, but he's never good enough to start consistently.

299m on defensive players - doesn't include saliba as he was already there.
275m on midfield - Rice is over a third of that
140m on attack - thats 3 players

Their strategy is terrible, just fucking look at it

Who's an outright success there? Rice? not for me. he's good but 110m? The accused? nope. He's pissed money up the wall on players he didn't need

Well our strategy has been ace, so we can say that. Don't get me wrong, I do think they've overpaid so in that sense yes, their policy is bad, but I don't think bringing in the numbers in attack was an all together bad move. I also don't agree about Havertz, sure he's flawed, but I think when Saka and Martinelli are fit he makes them both tick.

I suppose i'm comparing havertz to bobby in that sense, as he's the best example. Havertz barely plays the same sport as bobby.

Also, of all the signings, how many are still there, or have already been replaced? Zinchenko, kiwior, tomiyas, Jorginho - all replaced but are adding depth. Tavares, Mari, Soares, Ramsdale, Ceballos, Viera, Marquinos, Willian have all gone. Its like they've gone full scattergun to just try and get people in, realised they're shite, and then flogged them.

They've also got rid of players who would have been great for them this year, in Smith-Rowe, fucking nketiah would have done better than merino. They're a bunch of silly billys

They’ve got loads being released this summer too. They’re fucked.

Add in it looks like they've already tapped their youth teams for all its worth in Skelly and Nwaneri, it's interesting to see what they do. How long before saliba or gabriel goes "fuck this" and offs to madrid? I can see late 00s early 10s arsenal happening, where all their best players go. Odegaard might be picked up by city, same as nasri was.

Yep - losing Saliba would be brilliant
