It would be suicidal on our part to sell lucas now. He's the only guy that can actually play DM.

Unless he's desperate to leave...and I get no sense that he is...I just don't understand why we would even contemplate selling Lucas. He's not going to command a huge fee so it can't be a commercial decision. He's in good form and always brings a good degree of balance to the side. Some will see this as a negative but you always know what you're going to get with Lucas in terms of effort and performance. He might not start every game but for feck's sake don't ship him out.

I can't believe this is true. Apart from Lallana and Coutinho, he has been our best player in recent times. It's worth noting, he is probably the very reason those two have had the freedom to be playing so well.
