Is TAA worth breaking the wage structure ?

He might be really lovely, and i dont dislike him, but never fallen for Trent the person as i do for some of our other players.

Bosmans are part and parcel of the game, and everyone knows their value, so i don't have a problem with him going on a free if he wants.

You sign a contract to play for x years. When thats up, you can do what you like. There's no obligation to keep renewing...

You would hope though he'd got everything he could want and has a chance to be a proper legend. If he can't see that and doesnt want to be part of that journey then more fool him. It makes me want him less.

Also, he's not said or done anything to deserve the vitriol yet, and he may never do so.

This is all based on conjecture and assumptions, and I don't know why everyone is buying into it this much.

And birds aren't real.

I don't know, I'm a cunt about coffee. And by "a cunt" I mean, I have the outrageous expectation that the person making coffee all day for their living should make better coffee than me.

I've got one of these in my loft cos when we cleared a pub for all the shit we needed at the time it came as part of the price. I think if we get the right barrista and some good beans we'll be OK. We might even make you think you'd had a nice cup of coffee

Looks on the small side to me mate. We had something similar in the restaurants and were only doing maybe 50-70 cups a day per restaurant and it was not enough when the demand was high (say 22.00 onwards).

I think that would be a good second machine or just for redundancy but I'd get 3-4 groups because people won't wait around when they have to get to work.

They don't cost much £1,000 - £1,500 I'm guessing (based on my research a couple of years ago for our home machine). You could get sponsored too.

I won’t have a problem with him leaving - I get the need to try something else- it’s leaving on a free I have a massive problem with. The club could have sold him for a 100m plus which would have really helped purchase some reinforcements.

I really hope I’m wrong and he’s just waiting to see if he liked the new regime.

If you are testing the waters then this could be the way to go.

Bounce round to Crosby coffee and see what they offer.

I hope after his recent interviews people drop the narrative of him wanting to be in midfield or seeing himself as a midfielder.

He's clearly stated that his aim is to be the best fullback in history.

If we were suddenly doing 70 cups in the morning as part of the experiment I'd think I'd won the argument with my bizz partners

Why? 6 months ago he was stating his intentions to play in the middle and how it brought the best out of him. Nothing he says matches up to anything, flip flops between 2 arguments constantly. “Clearly stated”, cut the shit.

The research should include testing at all the nearby coffee outlets, photographing their menus and watching sales at peak hours and note how they are fitted out.

I did all that when we were thinking of opening a restaurant in the UK (1990) I sat there in my car for a week and logged every customer going into the potential competition, lunchtime and evenings. Frightening the hell out of the owner who probably thought I was the taxman. Police asked me what I was doing on 3 occasions!

Got any sources and quotes for that? Maybe I missed it.

I make a simpler version (just milk rather than cream, no nutmeg or cloves and I don't cook it anything like as long) but yeah, it's good scran all right and not too complicated.

BTW it's pronounced (or should be pronounced) "doh-feen-wuz", not "doh-feen-wah".

Actually, gratin is a masculine noun, so it should be "gratin dauphinois", no "e" on the end and the "s" is silent.

Regardless, it is the pinnacle of potato dishes for me.

I beg to differ, my dear sir (except about the last bit). "Gratin" is indeed masculine, but the French for "potato" is "pomme" and that's feminine, so any adjective qualifying it should take a final "e".

EDIT: Just did some quick research and strictly speaking the dish should be called "gratin" if cheese is used. Doesn't change the fact that, if you're calling it "Dauphinoise potatoes", the final "e" does belong there.

Good news that he gets a mental break for 2 weeks. We should leave him out for the Saints trip and then see if he's ready for Real (which I actually think it would do him good to miss) and be all set for City.
