Thinks he owns the place

According to AS we are very interested and are looking for a january move.
Would be ace on so many levels although nearly every club out there will be after him.

Also scouting Herrera and Isco.

Isn't he frozen out or something? Remember problems with muniain and him in the summer

You know he's ace when his nickname is the Lion King!

Would love to sign him. 6'5 but can actually play football and is mobile.

we've been linked to llorente too often for it to actually be true, think we'll get a pretty good striker in january, just not him

True, but no one expected that of him

llorente we would expect goals from, and he'd deliver

Ya but to have the effect Torres had he'd have to get 40. Torres was simply sublime from day 1.

Ha ha Del Piero must go watch him when sydney are in Melbourne.

I'm sure he'd cost a few more bob than Dempsey, so unless we sell Carol in Jan to fund the move, which we probably won't, it ain't going to happen.

Didn't he turn us down the January we signed big Andy.
I doubt if we are more attractive of an option now.

we don't know if the owners wouldn't fork out the money cause they didn't want to pay that much for a player or just to pay that much for dempsey

Count: the position may depend on his own situation as much as ours. If it's true that he's made up his mind to go, as some reports say, we may yet be in with a chance.

Lewy: they didn't want to pay Fulham's price for Dempsey because they didn't think it represented value for money. Maybe they might take a different view about this guy. I certainly hope so, because I think he'd be well suited to the Prem.

yep, that was basically my point, I guess they thought dempsey wouldn't add considerable value to the squad, whereas i'm guessing they'd think llorente (or someone of that mould) would

I thought everyone was saying the other week that if Carroll didn't fit the system, then Llorente wouldn't either

regards

I am not saying there isn't, but he is like a big target man, who can play footy, and I am just pointing out the argument used when we were linked before the transfer window closed.

Very good player but is he the right one to spend 20 plus million on?

All anyone has been talking about for the last few months is how we need a mobile striker that has great movement - the Villas and Falcaos of this world.

Don't remember it that way TBH and, if anyone *was* saying that, I don't agree. Llorente is more mobile than Carroll and I would expect him to fit Rodgers' style a fair bit better.
