So since Sturridge has come back.....

Suarez has lost his scoring touch.

I wonder if it was still the Suarez show would he beaten the likes of west Brom on his own.

He just isn't getting near as many chances now.

Obviously results like yesterday make you think moving him go accommodate Studge is worth it, but I do wonder if he would have gotten us more points on his own.

Plus the fact I really want him to beat the scoring record with is looking more and more unlikely

I think part of the 'problem' could be that Suarez has got just a tiny bit too 'bulky' and it's slowing him down a little in terms of the dazzling stuff he does that creates himself so many goals. I think it's also why FFF has been saying for ages that he looks tired, whereas he's probably just fractionally slower. I have no evidence for this other than comparing pictures of him now, especially that 'Incredible Hulk' pose he did after scoring against Norwich(?) to previous pictures. I also wonder why, if he is suffering from fatigue, the medical people haven't spotted it and given him a rest.

Here's the muscle pose I mentioned above. He looks bigger than ever. I don't recall him doing that pose before and I'd suggest people who do it are newly impressed with themselves physically and want to show it off (think Balotelli but with less arrogance).

Probably all bollocks I know, but it has been something I've been thinking for a while.

Close to scoring two wonder goals yesterday and had an assist. Hopefully he'll find the net against Fulham.

He's tired. He's showing it physically now, blowing a bit when pressing, but he's been showing it mentally by missing passes & easy (for him) chances. As well as the occasional bad decisions in front of goal.

If we go a couple up early mid week then I want him taken off immediately.

It hit me when I thought I saw him beat three players with sublime skill and pace, then play an outrageous through ball to Henderson and oh, that was Coutinho.

Suarez hasn't dribbled past people in a while now. I think he is just pissed off since we fell out of the title race.

That is a lot of bollocks in two sentences.

Yup. Suarez just isn't getting quite the same breaks that he had been doing, and because he isn't at the apex of all our attacks, is getting fewer chances per game. He was still torturing the Arsenal defence yesterday, had two assists, hit the post and nearly scored another 2. If this is a poor decision making physically shot player then I'd like 11 of them please. We have to say that Suarez isn't quite getting the same luck he had earlier in the season too. Some of his goals were low percentage efforts that, nine times out of ten, even the best players could not expect to score. Two of the goals against Norwich for instance, deflection against West Ham etc. He was a slice of luck away from scoring twice against the gunners, and scored a solo goal from our own half against Everton. He remains our best player, and the best striker in the league.

It's crazy talk is what it is.

Precisely. The alternative hypothesis would be that since Sturridge has come back Suarez has no need to dribble past players since the correct play is to pass it to Sturridge and look to play him in. It would be quite shocking in fact, if Suarez ignored his strike partner and carried on trying to beat the entire defence single-handedly.

For obvious reasons I went with the more derogatory hypothesis because I understand the way universe works. You on the other hand have forced me to now explain myself, and now the universe is going to bring about a 0-0 draw with a massive dose of fuck you. Well done.

Is hypothesis a big word for talking shite ?

Jamie Redknapp:
[article=http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2555408/JAMIE-REDKNAPP-Is-time-Manchester-United-said-goodbye-Nemanja-Vidic.html#ixzz2sso3aFON ]I can’t remember a better all-round performance from Liverpool in recent years. Early goals give teams confidence and Liverpool pressed and harried Arsenal brilliantly.

They didn’t give Arsene Wenger’s side a second on the ball. But what will be most pleasing for Brendan Rodgers was that his side won without Luis Suarez scoring.

In fact, it was the first time since March 2013 that they have won in the Barclays Premier League when Suarez played, but didn’t score.
With Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling taking some of that burden off the Uruguayan, Liverpool can only get better.[/article]
