Gareth Bale

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like hyperbale at the minute, and the press are right to praise him.

took over a club that had were bottom with 2 points after 8 games.

I think that 2 points from 8 games is a little out of context, they started off the season with their top scorer refusing to play, so I imagine it wasn't a true reflection of their ability.

What has it got to do with Rodgers?
But please do continue to watch SSN and believe every word they say.

Considering your facts were wrong on the original point, I can understand you not wanting to concede ground on this one.

It's not out of context, they had 2 points after 8 games for whatever reason and Harry had to sort it out, and he did, at our expense.

I'd bet that who ever was the manager would have bettered that record for the rest of the season. Harry did a decent job there, but he tends to concentrate on the short term, is unable to keep the better players, and leaves clubs in a worse state than when he takes over.

To right of his achievement at Spurs is just silly, he did a great job, yes he concentrates mainly on the short term, but he and Daniel Levy, very much a long term man, made a great time. Spurs would be no where near where they are today if it wasn't for Harry.

Harry made spurs do exactly what they should be doing anyway. Harry shouldn't be praised for getting a good team challenging for top 4. That should be LEAST expected of him.

I still haven't seen his goal from during the week.

Can anyone post a sneaky link / gif please?

He's having a blinding season but I'd like to see him do it next year again before I listen to the talk of him being in the top half dozen players in the world.

Right now I think thats a bit insulting.

I still don't. His squad is miles better than ours. He still plays that ridiculous high line which is so open for the counter.

Bale missed a header too - he's hot or cold there, always will be. And yes, he will be a handful - as he is for every other team, but if we can get them off their game by getting a goal or two early (taking advantage of the 'high line') - then maybe we can negate that strength of their's.

As for AVB - quite a few posters were happy with him being our manager. I don't remember that many groans against him, but try judge him after more than a year ... He's got an ideal situation (I think) to be highly successful though.

going to be a cracking game, two form teams

Only problem is that it is Mothers day, need a plan

My guess is that it's going be a very open game. Both teams are trusting their attacks more than their defense to bring then victory

FWIW, I wouldn't swap Suarez, Sturridge and Coutinho for Defoe, Bale and Siggurdson.

Can't wait for this one.

True but even with that high line they are gonna qualify for CL and are cruising in Europe.

I'd be alright with a high line if we were winning games too.

I think its just a question of when he'll leave Spurs. Probably not this summer as they're getting CL footy.
But after next season I can see him moving on. He'll want to win something and doesnt strike me as loyal club player.

Where will he end up though? City, Utd, Real or maybe even Bayern Munchen?

Great player, but I wish the media would stop with the he's as good as Messi and Ronaldo.
He isnt, at all.

Very true and they've done very well this season. Winning 10 of their last 11 games i think. No doubt that they are the form team and will be hard to beat. I understand why he does the high line but i just don't like it. Same way i don't like how we do that stupid passing from the back in our own area nonsense and never will.

I just think that with the pace of sturridge and the movement of suarez, we will get behind their defence on more than one occasion. .

Thats not the problem though, Bale isn't clinical, as in when he gets two chances and score them, the problem is he'll create himself a lot of chances and put some away, a bit like Suarez I supposed.

He has been awesome to watch of late. He seems to have a lot more about his game too. He is still young, he will grow into some player over the next few years, no doubt about that.

Unfortunately for Suarez, he is bound to get player of the year over what should be Suarez's. Given the media hype surrounding him.

I must admit I never pay attention to the player of the year crap. As long as suarez is happy and he's staying and knows he's loved by the club and fans, the rest can all hate him because he won't give a shit. He'll win the golden boot and everyone will know who the real best player in the league is.
