All three might end up winning the same award based on the voting groups:
Journos: Bale
Managers: Van Persie
Players: Suarez

Not all to pleased to see him being described as a shoe in for player of the year tbh, he has had a great run in the last month or so but biased though I am i genuinely feel Luis has been the best player this season.

RVP has shat goals all year but he is at Man U and things don't get much more conducive than that for a striker, Bale is fantastic but has he put it in on as consistent a basis as Suarez throughout the season? I don't think so.
2 things count against Luis obviously, his reputation primarily and also he doesn't play for a bunch of shandy poofters within a short bus ride from the newspapers office in London.
I really hope lil Luis bangs a hat-trick in against them when they come.... biased bunch of southern press cunts.
Shoe in indeed.... ffs...
Bale is great and is in tremendous form, but he was off the boil for a while, RVP and Suarez have done it all season.
Best player in the league right now.
Also best imitation of a chimp.
Would love Luis to get it. Can just see the talksport phone in now. Does Suarez deserve it as he is scum.
Not sure why everyone thinks Bale is a cunt. He comes across nice and humble in interviews and yes he isn't going to replace Beckham in any of his modelling contracts with that face but neither is Luis. You are being harsh you good looking bastards.
He's clearly very good and no amount of sulking about it is going to change things.

Actually, I've had a rethink - since the voting is for Player of the Year, then it's only Suarez or Van Persie. Van Persie carried Arsenal in the first half of 2012 (i.e. second half of last season),
Exactly, he's been awesome and would deserve the player of the year if he gets it. Superb player who has gone from the spurs jinx to their lifesaver. He can score from out of nowhere and his second against west ham was phenomenal. Is this right? Surely it can't be. I haven't even looked at it but does it really refer to a calendar year?
I think Bale will do it and I'd have no problem with the voting if he did. He's been remarkable, IMO, for a lot longer than 2 or 3 months. When Modric left I thought that was the end of Spurs as a top 4 threat. In fact they seem even better and that's mostly due to Bale. I think he's harder to shut down than Suarez. RVP, as lethal as he is, relies a lot on his team mates to create for him. Bale can do it all himself from almost anywhere on the field. Not only can he do it but he's been doing it pretty regularly for about 7 months now.
He would have done a decent job at Chelsea too had he been given the time. He's a good manager in my eyes, and considering his age you'd fancy him to improve as he gets the experienceWhat are peoples thoughts on AVB now? He seems to be doing a decent job.

Its kind of hard to tell as Bale has carried them so much. Whenever they've struggled he's been pulling it out of the hat for them. They still seem vulnerable to pace with their high line though. He does have a very good squad though and their midfield is strong.I was wondering about that the other week. He had a pretty uncertain start, no doubt took some confidence in the manc result but seems to be doing well. Would be interested in the comments of those who watch Spurs a bit (Mystic, you're excused) as to whether he can change the pattern of a game when needed. One thing is the Spurs of old would have been lacking in consistency. He's got them in a habit of winning games.

They win because of Bale though. Hasnt he scored all goals but one in the last 6 games or something.
In my opinion, if Spurs manage to get third, it will be as much down to AVB getting it right, as it is Bale. Obviously the timing of having the third best player in the world won't have harmed him, but we have one of the best two, and we're in 8th.
If anything it shows how over rated Arry was.
4 years no trophy and one top 4 finish with probably a better squad than Villas Boas.
The Redknapp love-in was the most sickening things in modern footy.
What has it got to do with Rodgers? He finished top 4, twice and took over a club that had were bottom with 2 points after 8 games.
I hope BR is that over rated too.
