How good is he?

It seems he can score from anywhere, and on current form, is unplayable. Is this the level he's going to be at for the time being - minus goals every 2 seconds - or is this a purple patch and he'll drop down to the level he was at last year?

This is where my hate of Spurs stems from, all I've fucking heard since he scored that goal is how he's the best player in the league, and how amazing Spurs are, it was awfully quiet before that goal though, typical fickle Spurs fans. As for Bale, he's very good, he's not as good as Suarez or RVP though.

Its a combination of a top class player in a great run of form, he isnt as good a player as he currently looks but not by too much. He has gotten more consistent in the last 2 seasons. He isnt a forward so not really fair to compare him to Van Persie or Suarez but Id say he is the best wide player in the league by some distance these days

He plays in the free role Gerrard/Ronaldo were afforded in years gone by, he's practically a second striker, so it is fair.

But he hasn't been playing in that role all season, he's been playing wide for the majority of the season.. But even so it would be a fairer comparison to compare him to other attacking midfielders as thats what he is and not a second striker at all.

He's been very good for a couple of years now and seems to be evolving his game. Very good player who seems to be able to score all types of goals right now. Plus he's going past players with ease now as well. Him, suarez, and RVP have been the best players in the premiership this season.

That gives him his pace and his power in the boot. That goal last night was amazing, hardly any effort to hit a ball that hard.

He needs to improve his right foot to be as good as Ronaldo but he is a huge talent and I hope he goes abroad not to UTD

Bale probably belongs to the group of players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Van Persie, who have good (but not great) seasons for a while, and then have a brilliant breakout season and their career takes off from there. Ronaldo's form really took off only in his 4th season with the Mancs, and Van Persie shook free from his injuries and blossomed in the final 2 seasons with the Gunners. I think this could well be what's happening to Bale now.

Exactly what I've been thinking for a long time, he's the closest thing I think I've seen in terms of singlehandedly dragging his team along and running at sides with such purpose and smashing in shots and putting in great deliveries. He's absolute quality.

RVP has shat goals all year but he is at Man U and things don't get much more conducive than that for a striker, Bale is fantastic but has he put it in on as consistent a basis as Suarez throughout the season? I don't think so.

2 things count against Luis obviously, his reputation primarily and also he doesn't play for a bunch of shandy poofters within a short bus ride from the newspapers office in London.

I really hope lil Luis bangs a hat-trick in against them when they come.... biased bunch of southern press cunts.
