Gotta say, he's actually very good.

i think generally, there were a fair few doubting whether he would have a real impact here.

One of the rare gems so far, and long may it continue!

He's our only player that looks like he can score goals currently. With the rest of the players ballooning shots 25yards over/wide of the goal.
I think he'll end up spearheading the the attack and other players/strikers will have to work off him/around him.

It's telling how when he comes on the pitch we look better, the boy scores goals, we need that now. I think we'd have won all three of our last games if he'd have start them and been 100%.

I think Firmino will be very important for Benteke, as Coutinho seems to have decided to stop creating chances or making short passes around the area and instead just going for glory with his ridiculous shooting.

Nice to see him smiling a bit as well. Hopefully he's relaxing and settling into the club. He looked good yesterday.

3 goals in 7 appearances is good. I thought he looked confident and is a real handful for any opposition. Pity we couldn't create a bit more for him as I expect he'll score reliably.

Good player. His record at Villa was very consistent. Klopp will be happy to have him.

I'm surprised at the criticism he attracts, much of it through ignorance of his "style". Just because he can head a ball doesn't mean that's his entire skill-set.

He is showing he has all the attributes of a top, modern striker - he's quick, athletic, strong, holds the ball up well and scores all types of different goals. Soaring headers, spectacular volleys, tap-ins. Klopp can build a side around him and a few others - Clyne, Sakho, Moreno, Gomez, Henderson, Coutinho, maybe Firmino and Sturridge of course if he can ever regain fitness.

We have been cursed by the injuries and fixture list so far but if we can get through the next few weeks it could be exciting to watch some of these "cool" players developing under Jurgen.

There's nothing wrong with Benteke. Provide him with chances and he'll score.
Problem is, our midfield isn't providing him with too many chances.
He's no Suarez, he isn't going to create something from nothing.

He did against Man Utd.

The figures from his Villa days may well be decent overall, but consistent he was not. He'd be unplayable for a spell and then disappear for a while, which is one reason why I doubted the signing. Has made a good start for us though, and long may it continue.

When I meant consistent, I was talking about scoring 50 goals in three seasons, two of which were interrupted by injury.

The only season when he was injury-free (his first in this country) was very impressive, and his overall average of 0.49 goals per game is very good indeed.

What is his future under Klopp, though. The commentary from the channel I was watching suggested Klopp was frustrated with him for not pressing. I know we don't have to build a style around him as we would for Andy Carroll, but is he going to end up on the fringes and sold because he does not fit into a Klopp style of play? Or can he evolve while keeping his natural strengths?

He's pretty poor I think, numerous times he gives the ball away when trying to hold it up. Not that mobile (speed), and misses some fairly easy chances. Having said that his goal was great.

Not sure he's a klopp player, think he'll be gone next summer or following January,

I'm fast becoming a big fan and latest Sturridge setback completely validates his signing. It's a shame he picked up an injury when we needed him the most, but on performances alone he's been hard to fault. It's been frustration watching Origi be so ineffective when Benteke had been on the bench. Klopps been overly cautious bringing him and Firmino back and I think it cost us against Southampton. We only gave ourselves a 45 minute window to score a goal.
