Virgiling on the vandijkulous

Wow, 75M... I'm a Van Dijk fan and happen to think this signing is the most important for us this summer, but to see these kinds of figures bandied about for a defender still feels surreal. It seems just from this June to August the prices have risen around 20-30%.

Twitterverse is full of crazy folks quoting each other now. Like the two guys who invented the fake hospital email; each say they got it from the other guy.
 
That other fellow (garthcambridge) or whatever who said that medicals booked at Spire with said fake email address, claims its £81m thats been accepted.
 
81 mill £. God I fucking hope not. Shouldnt be more than 60 mill, and even then its inflated. The fees are insane now.
 
I also still don't reckon we'll sign him, although I'm eagerly awaiting tweeting a couple of obnoxious Southampton fans if we do.

This guy clearly hears one or two things a few hours before they happen, probably from someone inside the Southampton media team, and then makes up non committal stuff like the shit above to pad out the time in between.

This ties with what that Southampton ITK was saying about them signing a striker. Hope it isn't a dealbreaker.

Like he's going to go there rather than come to us (a) after what we did to them at the weekend and (b) so he can play Thursday night Europa League football instead of being in the Champs League.
