I think United are going to regret that deal they gave him.
[/quote]He's a good player and a grafter and on his day can win games single handed but he's nowhere near the Ronaldos and Messi's and the likes that he is talked about in the same breath as.
If he had left united and not Ronaldo theyd be on 19 already.
The press in this country are jokers re-Rooney and for his country he's been utterly pathetic for all bar about 4 games.

Too right, english commentators and press give him far too much praise. He has really impressive games but far to many poor games to be a truely top player. I actually think he's getting worse with age.
Rooney is a very, very good player. Not as good as Messi and Ronaldo of course but I thought only a few English mentalists came out with that comparison during World Cups.
Last season everyone was saying Rooney was truly world-class and rightfully so. He nearly dragged a fairly average United side to second in the league by scoring an absolute shit load. He hasn't gone shit over night - but I do agree that he must perform to last seasons standard on a more frequent basis to be considered amongst the very, very best.
I would argue that Tevez has been much better this season, a fact which must rile Fergie a little bit...

Matthew Upson. England international and always out of position or making bad calls. He will probably have a blinder now!
