Looks like we are going to struggle to create good opportunities again this season if this is anything to go by.

Our midfield is unconvincing. Mind you, none of these would be in the starting 11, if everyone were fit.

Have we ever seen Fab, Hendo and Thiago start a game together?

Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain are shitter than I think Thiago is. They must be proper dog shit.

Have to agree the midfield looks wank the way they are playing. Just doing ball retention and nothing else. I wish between Ox and Keita they would just take on some players. But it is the first game and the most important thing is to win the damn game.

Yeah last season againt Everton when they played those thugs.

Our midfielders are always there to hurry opponents, close down the space, get the ball and recycle it quickly to the wing backs or the front three. It has always been the case under Klopp.

In that aspect think they are doing just enough to edge it in midfield.

Overall a solid first half - the experimental midfield 3 isn’t quite dominating the proceedings, but doing a decent job closing spaces and recycling the ball in possession to give the full-backs (who are the real danger-men in this game) a platform to create chances. Our high line was caught out a couple of times, but the defenders and Alli dealt with it calmly.

A bit disappointed we haven’t been able to score from a corner; Norwich look vulnerable there and we have the big guys.

The corner deliveries hadn't been the best tbh.

Don't think Fab Hendo and Thiago need to be too worried about their regular places once their all fully fit....
