Great to have majority of squad back although i think it’s safe to say only those who started either of these last two games will start.

Robbo now out. Few selection challenges now with Jota & Bobby both scoring a couple. Really excited for what we might see on Sat.

I’d rather see Elliot in midfield over Milner and Jota for Bobby but it’s great to have options on form.

I can’t see Virgil not starting now after 75 mins yesterday.

I think it’ll be Jota ahead of Firmino. It’s great to see Mané and Firmino scoring pre-season. Salah doesn’t seem to have been lethal so far but his place is untouchable.

6-0 win to take us top after the first round of games and we will stay there for the whole season.

I'd start Gomez over Matip but maybe 80 mins today is too close to Saturday? Otherwise yep, that's the back 5.

Midfield we have options but Fabs, Keita and Millie are favourites, esp. with Keita and Millie rested today and with Thiago just getting a few minutes after injury. Hendo looks fresh too though and maybe he'll start him for 60 mins.

Up front It has to be as you were. Tough on Jota and Elliott though so hope they both see mins.

Kelleher, Konate, Matip, Thiago, Hendo, Jota, Elliott, Minamino & Ox all strong contenders for the bench given the team except with Gomez starting (is it 7 on the bench this season)?

Think it's the impact of the Euros. Many playing got extended breaks which has afforded many opportunities for others to step in.

I think Ox might have forced his way into the team today. Not sure about Jota v Firmino. I think he might stick with Jota as he's been playing with Mane and Salah in the friendlies.

Ox isn't a defensive minded or as creative as Naby. Ox has to be played further forward.

1) Elliot for Ox may happen too - would have no issue with this.
2) Jota should always play in the front 3 - not as part of the midfield. He's so dangerous up there, waste of his talents to be away from the goal.

This is just lazy. There is nothing "inevitable" about an injury pile up; its happened once (last season) in the last few years. Despite the tendency for very short term memories, last season was the exception. not the norm

Bobby vs Jota is a tough one - Jota is definitely in better form but there is some loyalty there and Bobby with those two finishes might have earned himself the start. It's nice knowing you'd be happy with any front 3 from that 4 though.

I think this game is too soon for Henderson & Thiago - both likely to be subs rather than starters for me.. unless Thiago in considered well prepped from pre-season then might get ahead of Henderson and into the lineup.
