One to watch: Christian Eriksen

KHL, i'm in with you on the Eriksen bandwagon.

You've always had my support as a (not very) able deputy on the Agger Bandwagon.

I was just not able to bring myself to follow you on the Bendtner bandwagon....

Haha always room for one more mate.

In reference to Binnys link.

Talentwise Boilesen is on par with Eriksen. That boy is (also) something very special.

Quick, fast, balanced, better technically than most and seems like a well grounded lad as well. Will play the LB position for DK during the EC.

Sorry KHL - but I doubt we'll see this lad at Liverpool ... Pity, he sounds ace:

But United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is willing to spend big to sign the 19-year-old attacking midfielder, according the Daily Star Sunday, as he searches for a belated replacement for Paul Scholes, who retired at the end of last season.

"United are hot on him. Trust me, they want him and £20 million is the price being bandied around," a source in Scandinavia told the newspaper. "Yet ironically both Chelsea and Spurs turned him down several years ago because they thought he was too small. He has since turned into a world-class player."

Denmark international Eriksen, who plays his club football in the Eredivisie, was named as Dutch Talent of the Year in May 2011, by a panel that included Holland legend Johan Cruyff.

"This prize is just the start for him," Cruyff said at the time. "It should prompt him to try to get the best out of his career. The talent is there, the recognition also, now it is up to the player.

"He is a typical Danish player. You can compare him with Brian and Michael Laudrup, and only time will tell if he can reach the same level."

Eriksen will be united alright. With former teammate Suarez and his captain at International level, Daniel Agger.

Liverpool bound I tell y'all...

*Yeah I know... but I'm not giving up on this lad. He's such a clever boy too, can't see him ever go to United. He mustn't.

I think you should prepare yourself for the worst Kris, just in case

As a Liverpool-fan it seems 'worst case scenario' is always lurking in the shadows.

I won't give in mind and I really don't think it would be wise of Eriksen to move to United. For several good reasons and a few not so good, like me just don't wanting him to.

He's a bit of a football romantic Eriksen, plays for the sheer love of the game and has done since he was 2-years-old. Eats and breeths football it seems. He needs to go somewhere where he's not just going to be an old Scottsman's puppet.

He's far to levelheaded to go to United as well. The likes of Rooney, Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson, Schemichel, Beckham, Cantona etc. are all in the 'demanding personalities' bracket and Ferguson just loves to straighten them out. Eriksen's got no issues of note and is a very humble and clever lad. He needs to stay well clear of United.

And go to Liverpool.

He also loves talented players with no issues

Valencia, Hernandez, Ferdinand, young...

Ferdinand? Seriously? Ferdinand?

He does of course buy players who's seemingly less demanding but they are often not his world class players. The world class players under Ferguson has all more or less been in the 'demanding' bracket hasn't they? Apart from perhaps Giggs and Scholes but they don't count as they've always been around.

And Ferdinand? Seriously?

*VERY shocked smiley*

Just because he was in the phantom menace doesn't mean he's troubled

hahaha...

But still a player beeing banned for several month for the use of doping is hardly role model material?

I'd put him in the same bracket as the other very very good United players who aren't exactly angels.

He was banned for missing the test.

He took it the next day and it was clear, but he still had to take the ban.

As far as I remember.

I reckon he was guilty of being a right Jat-Jar, rather than a DRUGS CHEAT.

He forgot

Being forgetful doesn't make you Stalin!
Of course not but in my optic Rio has always been a bit of a bad boy. Perhaps I've been mislead by his 'gangsta looks' mind.

I'm only guessing here of course but as we know from cycling it can be convenient enough to 'forget' a drug test.

I hope KHL doesn't explode all over his shorts. Rumour form the offal blog:

Reports are suggesting that rumours may prove true in the next transfer window when Ajax midfielder and Danish starlet, Christian Eriksen, seals a January move to the club.

Transfer speculation has been in full flow regarding the future of the Eredivisie sensation and Liverpool are one club to have popped up continuously.

The 19 year-old was thought to have favoured a move to one of Europe’s warmer climates such as La Liga or Serie A, but the football community can sometimes be a fickle kind when it comes to preference. The attacking midfielder is thought to be valued at around £20m by Ajax, and already has 18 senior caps to his name representing his native Denmark, including the title of youngest player at the 2010 World Cup tournament.

Fuck KHL i'm all over this shit too. I don't think he's exactly what we need right now but I don't care, he's fucking awesome, would be estatic with this.

Won't happen mind.

Will someone please think of the dogs.
Ross will.

Oh and I'm choosing to believe this. Suarez will land him for us.

Eriksen would be a marquee signing showing every bit of the intent the owners has promised.

*Mystic is taking celebrations of this probably dodgy rumor to far mind.

Eriksen has aired his wish to stay with Ajax at least untill Summer and preferably as it is untill his contract runs out in 2013.

I'm not sure Ajax will let his contract run out at all but a sale come next Winter or next Summer looks more likely as it although a storming Euro 12 will probably see offers to good to refuse left, right and center.

Latest goal from his foot (the 1st one in the video):

Feyenoord vs Ajax 4:2 ALL GOALS HIGHLIGHTS
Please let us sign him, like really please. More Scandinavian presence is always welcome, especially when it's someone as talented as he is.

The top teams in England that would be interested:

Shitty: they shouldn't be - they have Silva and Nasri.
Manure: Definitely need a player like him
Chelsea: Him, or Modric
Spurs: Would they spend the 25-30 needed to get him? Do they need him if they keep Modric?
Arsenal: They'll never spend that kind of money on him.
Liverpool: Yup. Please. Please. Please

Just because City don't need him doesn't mean they wouldn't buy him.
