Man United thoughts

It tells me one thing. Although most of us would like to think we know much better, because were boss on FIFA 13 or footy manager or perhaps we watch a bit of Futbol Mundial, than those who are in the game we really haven't got the first clue.

But I don't think any of the last three managers have been privy to any ancient forbidden knowledge either.

Great gesture by Rodgers towards the traveling Kop after they'd been locked in for 30 mins after the final whistle. They were singing his name after the loss and he came out of the dressing room to aknowledge the support.

He clearly doesnt get this club or the fans.....

I'm currently heading down to london via Man Picadilly and the train is full if UTD cunts heading back down south. Most are also oriental ( can we still say that these days?), all wearing Kagawa tops. I've put my liverpool scarf on, even though its hot as hell, they are all smaller than me so I'm going to pick a fight with some of them.

Lots of us 'get' it but we'd be shit at managing it. Clubs like Liverpool monitor young managers like Rodgers, assessing him carefully as he deals with various crises and challenges, and hopefully wins something, THEN they consider hiring him. They don't act as work experience patrons (and let's forget the Shanks comparison - LFC were in a lower division and in the doldrums when they hired him. And Paisley served a tremendous apprenticeship under Shanks. Promoting from within with people you know inside out isn't the same thing at all). The time for excuses is long over. This club is a laughing stock.

Ha. And no, you can't say that. Don't default to chinaman either.
Too late, I've told them all to fek off back to North Korea and told them if they keep eating cats and dogs then will nuke them. I got in a a few other insults as well whilst waving the daily mail at them. I hope they don't decide to gang up on me because I'll get my face smashed in, there is like a 1000 of them.

The club has been a laughing stock for a lot longer than rodgers has been in charge

The first giggles probably were heard since rafas last season

Exactly. Fickle isn't the word. People judge players on a game to game basis. It's mental. Gerrard's been finished all season yet a couple of decent performances and he was back. I bet exactly the same thing was being said during the first and second halves today. Allen was boss then shit. Shelvey was the messiah then shit. Downing should have been shot but now there's 'hope'. Borini is a failure without hardly playing. We're improving as a team and we're going backwards. I'd rather wait and take a summary view at the end of the season. It tells me one thing. Yep.

And as I always said, form is an abstract concept on SCM.

I thought downing played alright second half. Better than sterling all game. He passed well and looked dangerous

The again it's not fashionable on here to praise him

Gerrard turned it around by upping pace when sturidge came on.

Good signs.

To be honest, you were saying the exact same thing about Kenny as we went through the same growing pains last year. Can't fault you for your consistency.

Learning whilst on the job? And that shockingly incompetent attempt at a sarcastic comparison actually gets likes? Fucking hell.

It wasn't really incompetent ... because it highlighted how many of us (you, myself etc) saw the progress Kenny was making and WANTED him to have more time. He was learning how to manage this team, and despite many poor results etc, many of us wanted him to stay. That same patience you've not afforded to Rodgers based on something you won't tell us about Rodgers, and every single fall you post gleefully. Last year, you were infuriated with Ryan and his non-stop Kenny jibes. Surely, you can see the sheer hypocrisy despite your attempts (as Ryan's last year) to point out positives (and many arise now, as many arose last year)?

Forget likes anyways - you're well ahead of me and always will be! 🙂

We should never ever try and play Lucas and Allen in the same team
Sturridge looks very promising
Downing has mislaid his testicles again
We miss an on-form Enrique
Gerarrd needs to get forward more
We are shit at defending set-pieces - why?

Playing 'alright' for 45 minutes is still nowhere near good enough for a £20m player.

That's all well and good but each game will be analysed when we have fans forums, twitter/facebook, radio/tv phones in and all the rest.
There's no escape for every single player, that's just the way it is.

I understand that. What I'm saying is that analysis counts for shit because the majority of it is clueless reactionary bollocks

This is true. I ignore most of my own in-match or post-match comments. Anger and happiness for that matter usually creates nonsense.

Of course. We all do it to differing degrees. We all have all the answers too. We'd all be top fucking managers us.
