By simple I meant this management lark is easy. Not that Joe Cole should play behind Reina.
Phil Babb was good when he was on formadam's a really good player when he's on form, he's just been inconsistent for us
I disagreePhil Babb was good when he was on form
He went from shit to really shit?He was never the same after the incident with the goalpost
Wont argue with uI disagree
Wouldn't have argued anyway because nothing will ever change my opinion on Babb. I despised watching him play.Wont argue with u
Phil Babb made me cringe on a regular basis. He should have taught us never to buy players based on a decent showing in an international tournament, but Houllier obviously wasn't paying attention at the time.
Was it not Roy Evans who signed Babb?
Was it not Roy Evans who signed Babb?
After World Cup 94, No?
Maybe 5 at the back contributed?Babb was captain of Coventry before coming to us and as said had a superb World cup.
I wonder if was it was the culture at the time at the club, that destroyed him as a player, as up till him coming to us he looked like an excellent prospect

SWANSEA City say they have no idea what the future holds for Gylfi Sigurdsson after their record- breaking move for the midfielder hit the buffers.
Swansea had hoped to complete a £6.8 million deal for the Icelander after agreeing personal terms last month.
But Brendan Rodgers's departure for Liverpool looks to have ruined Swansea's chances of landing Sigurdsson, who admits he would be interested in following the Northern Irishman to Anfield.
"There is always that risk when you take a player on loan that he does well for you and other clubs then become interested," said Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins.
"The fact is that he is Hoffenheim's player, not ours, and at this stage I have no idea whether he will be coming back to us on a permanent basis.
"Gylfi's agent hasn't told me anything about what's happening.
"For whatever reason they have decided to draw out the process and we will probably find out a lot more about what Gylfi's decisions are over the next few weeks."
Former boss Rodgers has suggested that Sigurdsson should still consider a move to the Liberty because he should get the chance to play regular Premier League football at Swansea.
But the ex-Reading midfielder had always made it clear that the presence of Rodgers would be the major factor when talk turned to the possibility of a full-time move to Wales.
With Rodgers now at Anfield, the most likely outcome is that Sigurdsson will end up there too.
The 22-year-old may not play as much football in the red jersey as he would at Swansea, but Liverpool's new boss has confirmed that he will be interested in Sigurdsson's signature should he turn down a move to SA1.
"I have got no idea what the timescale is to sort things out as far as Gylfi is concerned," Jenkins added.
"As things stand, I can only assume that he will be back at Hoffenheim come the start of pre-season training."
Sigurdsson has two years to run on his contract in Germany, but has made it clear that he wants to play Premier League football next season. Swansea thought they had pulled off a major transfer coup when a fee and personal terms were agreed, and to lose out on the player now would be another heavy blow following Rodgers's exit.
Ice pick: Sigurdsson has decided to follow Rodgers to Anfield
Swansea's Icelandic loan-star will join Liverpool for around £7m - but wants to explain himself to the Welsh club's new boss first
Gylfi Sigurdsson WILL join Liverpool, but not before he has offered Swansea the courtesy of meeting their new manager.
The Iceland international, who made such an impact on loan at the Liberty Stadium last season, has made clear his desire to go to Anfield following the appointment of Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers as the new boss.
The attacking midfielder had all but agreed a permanent £6.8million move from Hoffenheim to Swansea at the end of the season, but didn’t sign the deal as it became clear Rodgers was being courted by the Merseyside club.
Sigurdsson confirmed last week that he was having second thoughts about a move to Wales from the German club.
Now he is set to link up again with Rodgers, becoming his first Liverpool signing for a fee similar to the one that would have taken him to Swansea.
But he wants to show respect to to the Swans by meeting their new manager first, to explain his situation.
Swans chairman Huw Jenkins has been busy looking for Rodgers' replacement and is expected to unveil a new manager within the next week, with former Denmark star Michael Laudrup the overwhelming favourite.
Rodgers, meanwhile, has been busy drawing up a list of transfer targets since arriving at Anfield.
Midfielder Momo Diame, a free agent now his Wigan contract has expired, and Uruguay midfielder Gaston Ramirez of Bologna have both been the subject of inquiries.
