Pre Match Pre Match - Girona (A) - Tues 5:45

Jesus that's a brain dead response. How about you just think about it for a while. You know, comparing the two different leagues? Instead of just saying they are experts! See what they did in the Erdivisie!

Jesus thats a brain dead response. How about you just think about it for a while.

The point is that they have something thats working and then you ADAPT it to work in a different environment, league, country, intensity and player profiles.

So far it seems as though they have been able to find the right set up as well.
The players look extremely fit.

Have to say I didn’t expect such a simplistic attitude to this.

You're damn right I didn't ! Blind Faith is never a good look. Adapting is the minimum anyone would expect - but that doesn't explain their refusal to act when it was clear action was required.

Open your eyes. Pretty much everyone on the forum has seen the tiredness in the players and it is undeniable that it clearly affected them at Newcastle. So how come your heroes didn't make an allowance for that? Or advise Slot to take players off when a game is virtually won or even just to protect players when it's clear they needed it. Konate may indeed not have been injured if your infallible fitness team had done their job.

Or maybe even (Newcastle, Girona) just to have fresh legs when it's clear certain players were far from their best and flagging? They didn't do much 'adapting' there did they. Maybe if stronger, even though technically inferior, players were given a start then we'd have won both games.

If Slot keeps on like this then this team will be done by March and we'll see a car crash as we saw with Klopp.

Konate was injured because of a player who fell and landed on his knee in a challenge. How the fuck does a fitness team prevent an impact injury? Jesus Christ.

By not having him unnecessarily on the pitch for the last 10 mins! Put your brain into gear Hansern.

Numerous posters were calling for him to be subbed and if the fitness team had advised Slot to rest players whenever possible (especially one with his injury concerns) then he likely wouldn't have been on the pitch to get injured !

He still had 2 subs left at the end of the match. He could easily have brought Quansah on and pushed Gomez inside (or put Q at RCB).

I realise you've got the hots for Slot's fitness team and their incredible experience managing a Feyenoord side that could breeze through half their Erdivisie matches whilst playing games on their phones - but they are new to the PL and are they any better than the team Klopp had (have you forgotten he also had one)?

Its not unnecessary to have your two best CBs on the pitch against Real fucking Madrid for the last 10 mins.
3 or 4-0, yes.

And an impact injury can happen at any time. Its just bad luck and with Konate its just incredibly stupid to draw the hindsight card. Konate has played 90 mins in every game he's started bar 2 this season. Being subbed off at 75 against Forest when we were trailing 0-1 and in the 88 min against Leverkusen when we were 4-0 up.

If you want the fitness team to help avoid contact injuries during games you need to hire a clairvoyant.

No you don't and it wasn't clairvoyance that was needed. It would have been sensible to sub injury-prone players off. RM hadn't been a threat all night, it's not like they were storming the castle. He had 2 subs left and fresh legs.

Oh and you forgot (haha) to reply to this (an inconvenient truth no doubt) : I realise you've got the hots for Slot's fitness team and their incredible experience managing a Feyenoord side that could breeze through half their Erdivisie matches whilst playing games on their phones - but they are new to the PL and are they any better than the team Klopp had (have you forgotten he also had one)?

We need to get Modo on the touchline with Arne and his staff. With his telepathic powers and his ability to see into the future, we'd never suffer another injury or red card again!!!

I've been saying it for years.
I see shit.
Like every time Darwin shoots I yell "miss", and I've got it right about 95% of the time.

You'll get it right the vast majority of the time yelling miss when anyone takes a shot.

It's also a great way to get punched in the head.

Oh man, I really thought it meant that I was clairvoyant.
That's because you've been punched in the head previously. It's a vicious cycle, and a bitter irony that the punch to the head is the only thing you didn't see coming.
