I've never been! I worked 2 doors down the road (for about 10 years) and still never put foot inside the place. McDaids across the road is a different matter, I drank there every weekday for 10 years (liquid lunch) and regularly would start the Saturday session in there.............it's still my first port-of-call on my trips "home".

Yes, McDaids was a good spot. Had many a pint there. Would often pick up the old man who worked in for Sealink in the Clery's building on N. Earl Street for donkies, and take him for a pint in Madigans across the road, too. And a good mate of mine married the bloke who owned Judge Roy Bean's at the foot of Grafton St., so used to do Friday nights in there with the lads.

Yes, McDaids is where I went when up that part of town. Good boozer.

Just a quick thought on sale timeline. Biden is proposing to more than double capital gains tax rates from 1 Jan 2022. If he gets that through, it would be in the interests of some (but not all) of FSG’s ownership group to sell LFC before the end of the year (assuming they’re ready to sell up at all) as otherwise the IRS could be taking an extra 24% chunk out of their profits.
