Coloured boots

Alan Ball I believe.

Though Phil Neville seemed to start the trend of shit people wearing them. League 1 centre backs wearing them is embarrassing.

White was the first "BIG" colour wasn't it?

Was it Zidane? or Pires?

I can't really remember tbh.

I like white boots though. They look smart.

Torres looked hot when he was wearing all red last year too.

Alan Ball? Really?

It makes me cringe every time I see some useless fucker wear a golden pair of boots. It's just plain wrong.

Honestly I hate Torres' look. To wear white socks over red ones looks pure shite.

I believe so yes

You mean Digger was the first one to wear coloured boots? I can't believe this shite look started in Liverpool.

Hence, I said "all red last year".

Tbf though, Torres can make any combo look good.

Even pink and green.

No the first Liverpool player I remember. There were others before that. Alan Ball's were white.

Alan Ball was the first to wear coloured boots as George has said. I agree, they look shite. Black boots all the way. Fuck the whiteys off.

That trend of orange boots last year was horrific.

I think Torres wore them once or twice but I might be wrong.

I agree with the black boots brigade. Could you ever imagine Carra wearing nancy boy white boots?

regards

Horses for courses I say.

Carra is 'ard! and not particularly attractive.. so black boots suit him fine.

I think he meant the tapes.

Or not.

I read a story a while back that when Keegan was playing for us he was once offered quite a lot of money by one of the boot companies to wear some white boots.
When he brought them out in the dressing room Tommy Smith told him he shouldn't wear them so he didn't in the end.

After that Tommy Smith apparently contacted the boot company and asked if he could have the deal instead of Keegan, so the next week he wore the white boots instead!

So arguably the hardest player we have had was actually probably the first Liverpool player to wear white boots!

I think the first player I saw wearing white boots them was Gianluigi Lentini for Milan in an early 90s European Cup Final. I thought he was just wearing socks, it looked that strange.

I wear white boots. Obviously.

Any of our squad can wear fucking space boots if it means they do what they bloody well get paid to do.....like who gives a shit who wears black, white or fucking illuminous purple boots...theyre just BOOTS!!

When I was on my footballing-peak I wore red boots. I looked great. And scored goals. And woman. Abundance.

Those were the days.

:'(

*wanders off to go by me some red boots*

It's funny this post has been made as I was considering making one along similar lines last night.

Ronaldinho was wearing lime green boots and I thought they looked shat.

I'm not against all coloured boots though. It depends on the player and the colour.

I used to love Ronaldo's (Brazil) silver boots.

But, black is the colour though.
