Liverpool related transfer speculation

There is something there though. We didn't want to sell and we didn't want him to move to Barca on loan.
He was one of the few kids Slot tested during pre season and he's been very positive about him in interviews.

Bajcetic was a CB when he played for the youth teams, he also plays as a CB for the Spain U21 team.

It's hard to say if he's stagnated or even regressed because the Austrian league is piss poor.
There has however been some flashes of quality.
If he's not brought back to LFC he should be loaned to a team in England.

I just don't buy into the fact that slot was impressed with him. If he was, he would have kept him and shifted endo or someone else

I know "he has to play", but he would have played if he actually stayed.

I think Lijnders wanted him and we were happy to loan him out, knowing that after a long-term injury he was going to need time to hit his level again. It made perfect sense to me at the time to send him to a lesser league where he would hopefully play regularly and under less pressure (at best he'd have been rotation had he stayed with us, and I think he'd have struggled).
It hasn't worked out, and I suspect that will be more to do with his recovery from injury than anything else. Let's not forget, there were plenty of us worried that Virgil would never hit the level he's at now after watching him get back to it after a year out injured.

Also one of the other 'kids' Slot played during Pre Season gets left on the bench most games. Harvey Elliot.

Given we bided our time and cam back in for Grav when things didn’t work out for him at Bayern, it’s not beyond the bounds of possibility for us to go for a cut-price belated Chewy deal.

He’d be great competiton / cover for Grav and better CB cover than Endo…

Could even play him with Gravy and push Macca in the 10 role.
Loads of versatility.

His wages are right up there, and we're already paying Grav a fair whack after he signed for Bayern on a free and we had to match.

He would be a good signing for all sorts of reasons but it won't come cheap on the payroll. If Trents not signing on then it's less of an issue.

Are you talking about Kimmich... 29 would want €300k per week plus signing on bonus. We need younger... Portos 18 year RB has 5 assists already

That is really a very weird case. What the hell has Elliott done wrong to be by-passed as he has been? Is he simply unsuited to a Slot team? And if so why? I simply can't figure this one out, I wasn't on the Elliott band-wagon initially but think he's improved leaps and bounds over the past year.

In the Portuguese league. Nunez had what was it 31 goals in his last season there? Plenty of good players over there but I'd be very leery of looking at their goals/assists as a benchmark after Nunez.

We do not need him if Trent goes, I would be happy with any RB that plays like the Newcastle RB ... not Trippier.

Also, no way we win anything if we do not make some signing for the midfield or get someone who is good enough and consistent playing centrally as a striker. I think Diaz is actually shit in the final third to score goals when Mo is dry. Think Mo is least active of our front men in the last 2 games and its worrying.

For someone that claims to know Arne inside out and questions if others watch our games, this should be a piece of piss for you. Let’s see now;

- Lack of pace
- Lack of physicality
- Both these things coincide with a lack of intensity.
- Too one dimensional
- Too one footed

Yeah, not hard to see why he doesn’t get played.

I think its mainly due to his size and lack of pace.
Not great defensively either.

Oh I don’t know Slot of course … I just don’t sleep through matches and then shout my mouth off claiming we’re shite when everything points to the contrary.

You are using 1 player as your sample size as opposed to 7 or 8 in the case Italy. Players from Portugal have faired well in the PL.

Except criticising our slow, ponderous first halves is completely different to "we're shite". We're clearly capable of far better when we decide to use Grav/Mac to thread quick balls through the lines. 200 passes for 45mins on the halfway line while the opposition camp comfortably in their own half isn't my idea of quality, exciting football.
