Other PL Games 24-25/08/2024

It’s all ok…Arsenal are still mentally weak as fuck evidenced by the fact they are beating their chests and high fiving every time they make a block or whatever…two games into the season.

They’ll be mentally shot by Easter.

Hope Vlad's Quiff, late of this parish, was on it.

They really are in deep doodoo this time though. Extending 675-year-old Ashley Young's contract, taking that lying toerag Holgate back off loan (apparently he was booed when subbed on in their last game) - that club is circling the plughole. Admittedly I really, REALLY want them to go down, but Paddy Power wouldn't be doing this just as a gimmick.

Brighton, or more specifically their owner's SOLE purpose in football is to profit from whatever talents they can sell to other teams, using the club as its vessel to do so, and you can't really argue otherwise. They've never won any trophies of note, they've never won the league, and they never will. Their owners, the board, nor their fanbase will never aspire the club to be at that level, even for a short period of time. What matters is the profit they get from flipping players like Caicedo, and rinse and repeat with that profit. Clubs with similar stature in city and stadium size have previously won titles and domestic cups so that's not really an excuse, either. (e.g. Deportivo)

A completely pointless, useless club that won't be missed by anybody if they disappeared tomorrow. Being our bogey team is just the icing on the shit cake.

Fair to say it’s ok to celebrate beating your bogey team, the team that beat you home and away last season, the second game being the title deciding lose, away from home in a season where you know you need to be near perfect to beat City.

Just watched MotD - Why didn't that goalie play against us!!!!!

If that's a genuine question, I think he strained something during the warm-ups, didn't he? He was a late scratch from the starting line up, for sure.

And if that's not a genuine question, see previous answer anyway.

Why weren't the tractor boys given a penalty when their player was brought down in the box in the first half. It looked clear foul to me but not even VAR was involved. Anybody with an explanation
