Yet arsenal can piss through the league (bar villa) while getting in to the quarters of the CL. Their team isn't overly better, it's just younger. because klopp doesn't like to sell players.

You can’t rotate so much when you’ve only got 16 or so players of the right quality. City had two teams that could match ours back then.
Klopp rotated a lot this season but the quality isn’t there
The quality is there though, as when we were decimated by injuries we were still winning games; arsenal aside.

Not replicating the Mane, Firmino, and Salah attack was a mistake. We could have signed Kudus and Elliise. These players guarantee you pace, pressing, and link-up play. Gakpo and Nunez are square peg, good players in their own right, but not what you want if you want if you want a front three that can work together with high intelligence, flair and power.
It is, and was expected to be, a team in transition. The beauty (horror at this moment in time but not in retrospect) is that it came so close to winning the title, bar the injuries that undoubtedly cost us points and the VAR interventions costing us more points.
Because had we been ahead there would have been extra incentive and drive. As it was, once we slipped off the top we were cooked, from then on we looked tired all over the pitch and simply didn't have the energy to get back up.

There were 2 years were it was heartbreaking and difficult to imagine doing more. This year? no. Last year? no. City sell players and city buy players. We buy players and then hold on to them until value has gone. City sell youht players as they invest heavily in their youth. We struggle to sell to the championship because we don't GIVE THE PLAYERS A CHANCE
