Liverpool related transfer speculation

Why anyone would sign at Barca is a mystery to me. And why he wouldn't exercise his get out clause and get a big signing on fee somewhere else is also beyond me. If he doesn't do that by the end of the month he's an idiot and his agent should be fired.
Ya why would sign for one of the most successful teams on the planet who despite all their challenges finish top 2.

And who routinely fuck over their players, asking them to defer pay, take pay cuts, fail to register them, try to sell them.

They're an immoral, backwards mess of a club. City have more integrity.

Because of his experience both when he is needed and in helping develop younger players coming through in training. Clubs are getting caught out this season with injuries and fixtures congestion and it’s only getting worse. I can see the positives in signing experience vs throwing in academy kids during burnout / injury crisis.

Fair enough - I just don’t see the point of adding to the squad with mid-table standard oldies eating up the wage budget for a player who likely won’t have the legs to be effective.

I can almost guarantee our strategy guys won’t be having a bar of it either.

Can you think of any times when it’s worked out?

It’s more common for goalkeepers and I would expect him to be low wages as he’s basically getting a dream move in his twilight to warm the bench and put a shift in at training.
You are right it’s unlikely but I wouldn’t be against it at all. Newcastle aren’t a mid table team anymore.

What is it with you and wanting to sign average players from Newcastle?

Keepers are different though.

I think it's more than fitness issues. There's something else that's just not right about Cheesy.

WC winner can't even get 5 mins of game time. Can't even earn a place on the subs bench. LOL

Weird.

I get the feeling that Hughes has been advised that we need to sell at least three players to afford Mo's and Trent's extensions

In fairness he’s been a great resigning for them.

Define great?

Great, as in he’s been slow and pish when he’s not injured and a liability along with all their other CBs?

I mean he’s certainly been a great signing for everyone that’s played against Utd.

He’s got no hair and we don’t care.

Not sure if this is the thread for it but just noticed the new keeper we signed to replace our current injury prone one has been injured the past month with a leg injury. Jeez.

He’s played a lot of games that if he didn’t they’d have had a kid at cb and been mauled even worse.

Just to be clear, your definition of “great” is that “their defence would be more shit without him” and he’s better than a “kid”?

We seem to have very different definitions of “great” - if you’d gone with “slightly better than average” you might have a point.

Also, not if the kid was any good or didn’t have to play beside Maguire.

Also, you can’t say that Evans lack of pace and consistent injuries haven’t had a negative impact.

You look at some of those old fucks in that Utd team and you almost start to think they’d be better off playing the kids.

My favourite place on the planet is the Italian Alps. I flew into Torino airport to get there. I probably coped better than Chiesa in that region despite him living there for 4 years.
The Italian Dolomites are pretty damn gorgeous too - my photos from a month camping there ;

Are they "Méss que un club?"
