After their fans booed him off the pitch, why would he ever go back?Newcastle bid to take him back on loan. Balls to it. Another fucking soap opera developing here.
If the stories are true that he wants to stay and fight for his place, I think he may go on to stay and have a very good season.
Oh, the irony! 😉I'd imagine Carroll would be up for a move back home.
I'm personally very disappointed about all this and that's coming from someone who criticised Carroll regularly during large periods of last season.
Give the lad a chance for fuck sake.
That's assuming he'd play. I think the whole thing is daft, there's clearly something to it though because we've avoided coming out and knocking it on the head. If we don't think he'll fit the system, we should sell. What's the point in loaning him out? It's not like he'll suddenly fit us a year down the line is it?

Well when we sack Rodgers, i'm sure the new manager might love him. That's assuming he'd play. Hope not, for one thing it'll prove that Rosco is right about the importance of the manager.Haha..... I was thinking along those lines. Is he being loaned out just in case? Have we stumbled upon a great new policy, fuck the money, we'll keep them on standby just in case next years manager likes him?
Ok, fair enough. And i changed my view on Carroll based more on the difference in his work-rate and commitmen in the last few months of the season. He looked leaner, more determined, quicker and ran his bollocks off which was good to see compared to the first half of the season where he was slow and pedestrian.
Call it as i see it from game to game, unlike alot of posters on this site, i don't have a fixed opinion on any player.
Carroll scored the winner at Blackburn, winner in the Cup semi, scored inthe Cup final and single-handedly almot dragged us to extra-time. He showed what he was about and because of that, he deserves another season imo.
To give him back to Newcastle would make us even more of a laughing stock in the transfer market.
I'm actually more warming to the idea of keeping him. We'll probably sign another attacking wide players / striker and with Suarez, Borini, Carroll and the new guy we'd have good options, as well as Sterling, Pacheco, Bellamy in the squad as well. This is all based on the idea that we'll be playing a 4-3-3 with wide strikers.
He's the fastest tweeter though. We've coached all the verve and kwalerdy out of Pacheco.
Newcastle dont need him, and after the treatment they gave him at St.JP I doubt he'd want to go there.
This is the deal according to the mirror.
Newcastle's offer: one season long loan, paying full wages (£75K/week) + permanent £17m deal, after the loan.
i wouldn't sell him to our rivals unless there was a exchange deal with ba.This is the deal according to the mirror.
