Pre Match Pre Match - Saints (A) - Worthington Cup QF - Weds 20:00

I've not been impressed overall. A few flicks and tricks but lazy out of possession and even after 45 minutes looks fucked.
Probably been told to take it easy so as not to get injured again. He's definitely not lazy.

Quansah got lucky for once.

Yes, but he's got a portfolio of bad defending this season and in not very many games.

I thought our midfield just wasn't mature enough to handle the pressure of the occasion, almost more than the actual pressure, in the second half. So many silly unforced errors I have to put down to nerves. We gave them a way back into that game and are lucky that they are shit and the ref cocked up.

All that said there's a reason we had no maturity and it's because they all look 14

Nyoni seemed to be in the right places but lacked the intensity and physicality at this level right now.

Overall it seemed disjointed which was expected but we did end the game with two defenders. Managed the squad well looking ahead to Sunday.

Yeah he didn't look ready for this game (maybe better coming on as a sub and told to go at them). Not sure he played a forward pass !

Watching the replays it wasn’t a foul at the end for Southampton. The player kinda stopped and invited Quansah to run into him rather than pushing to get the ball.

Nyoni played a good game and this will do his development the World of good. He has the ability to release the pass at the right time. Some lovely passing from him.

Solid outing from the fringe/youth players. Into the semi finals we go. Winner of tomorrow's game please.

Disappointing : Quansah, Nyoni, McConnell (terrible challenge for the Yellow and why head the ball back to the opposition when you have 7-8m space around you to take it down) !

Was he on the pitch? : Trent

Average : Tsimikas, Gakpo (lots of energy but lack of end product), Macca, Endo, Nunez (because he scored, otherwise nah), Jota, Chiesa (nice touches but went down/gave up too easily sometimes.

Good : Kelleher, Gomez, Morton (tired late on and telegraphed one pass in MF that could have been costly but otherwise very nice with some classy touches). Elliott (MotM).

Suspensions over, players rested, players given vital minutes players back from injury and we're in the hat for the next round

It's all good
Gravenberch 4 yellows
Konate 4 yellows
Nunez 4 yellows ( who cares
