Andy Carroll In Danger Yo !

This Carroll business is the only negative issue that I have with Rodgers so far. I think we've handled it extremely poor.

1 year loan with an option to buy for 17 mill. From a team that finished higher than us.
Its a fucking horrendous deal if it happens.

He'll score a bucketload of goals and we'll look like muppets, again.

Agreed. Doesn't reflect well on the Owners this either tbh - us in a mad rush to get players off the wage, combine that with their relatively low net spend to date, it's not exactly looking good in terms of us spending big.

You can bet he wont get 20 starts and make it permanent.
Being shafted by Juve and Milan havent thought us a lesson it seems.

Not giving the lad a chance doesnt sit well with me.

IF we sell him, we better buy someone fucking good. If Scott Sinclair arrives I'll kill someone.

As a matter of interest , where do you expect the money to come from ? Like it or not they're not sheiks or dodgy russians , they're business men who are unlikely to put alot of their personal money in . So they're going to allow the club finance itself . Don't get me wrong , i don't have any mad love for these guys but in the 20 months they've been here they've let us spend a fair bit on transfers , even if that money came from sales and the club's own finances . The only mistake they made was to trust comolli and dalglish with £100m+

Some are saying we agreed a 25% sell on clause with Newcastle aswell. Fuck me they're laughing their tits off up on Tyneside now. We look stupid no matter what happens.

God we hired the most incompetent Dof ever.

I'm not pleased about all this to be honest not been handled well at all

Not handled well ? that's just from the perspective of someone who wants him to stay . If he's not in the manager's plans , like he wasn't in dalglish's don't forget , then how else can they handle it ? . They want to sell but know that we're in a very bad position because of the crazy price we paid in the 1st place so maybe a loan with agreement to buy at the end is the best they can get . But obviously i hope they can sell straight up if that's what they want .

although in fairness to carroll , maybe from his personal view this hasn't been handled too well .It sounds like this has all come out of the blue for him and it can't be great to hear about things like this when you're on holidays and trying to relax . But such is the nature of the beast .

Seen that. So if newcastle give us 17 million we'll have to give them a quarter of it back!

Is it a great deal? We're taking a 22 mill hit if the sell on fee is correct

why are you so eager to believe in this 25% sell on clause ? Who are these 'some' that are saying it ? It would be ridiculous to include a clause like that in such a big deal , although in fairness it is comolli. Anyway if it was there you'd expect Newcastle to just go "we'll offer 25% less and not bother transferring money to you just for you to pass it back straight away "

I was just in the pub with some dudes who were at Wayne Rooney's cousin's wedding. Apart from Rooney's brother making a massive cunt of himself the other point that seemed to have consensus was that Carroll has already gone.

I'd like him to stay but if he's going then please for the love of god just sell him and get it done with.

NO TO LOANS!

Its from a journo that follows Newcastle
It wouldnt surprise me one bit if it is true

Im sure newcastle Will have sounded him out about a move before making an offer to take him back! Based on that id say he's gone

Logic says we should cut our losses and just sell him. I can't rationalise why I want us to keep him!

Because in the back of your mind, something tells you having seen enough of our players over the years that only a complete idiot would believe they are capable of playing Rodgers' style of football. And so, because you are too emotionally fragile to go through a fourth year of depression, you want Carroll here to allow us to revert back to simple tactics for simple-minded players, and then at least try to put some results together.

Im not expecting them to be Sheiks or dodgy Russians but this sell to buy policy is worrying.
