If he has a future at top level ("if" because he's good enough but still a featherhead even now) it'll be at fullback IMO.

I'd love us to sign someone like Hummels, Badstuber or even Subotic although they could be well without our reach. Same applies for Richards though, he's a vital part of Citeh and understandably so, splendid, powerful defender who'd make us a better team even as a CB imo.

If we sell Agger, does that mean Skrtel stays? Does this mean he's stuck with Carra in the middle for the season, a player he hasn't been as dominant with? Does that mean we have 20 mill extra to spend?
Think Skrtel will sign a new contract.
We'll sign a new centre back. I'm guessing Rodgers has a list of targets and we have some possible replacements lined up.
How would people feel about selling Agger for 15-18 mill + Adam Johnson?

To play in the 4-3-3, you need players who aren't lazy ... Sinclair and Dyer bled for Swansea last year - I don't believe Johnson can do that. He's capable of the odd beat of brilliance, but he's not for us.
If we are really selling him - 20 million is minimum. I just hope the #1 target isn't Ashley Williams.

I don't know if it's me getting older but I just seem to find a lot about the club really irritating at the moment and the way fans seem keen to jump at any bit of money offered for our players. Our defence was our base last season, it shouldn't be dissolved at any point, we should focus on adding to key areas. If we can't afford it then let the fcking youngsters fill in and have a transition season, selling for 20 mllion then getting 2 overrated championship quality 10 million players is crap business at any level.
Johnson could be a great player in the right environment, by all accounts he can be a bit of a prick, but he should be playing now and he's unlikely to with what he's got to compete with. I don't know why we aren't in for him anyway, regardless of City being interested in any of our players.

I dont think anyone WANTS to sell agger, just that if he is going it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if we got 25mil or thereabouts in return for a fairly injury prone player.
