I don't know whether this is true or not, I'd say no smoke without fire and all that but we just went through the same with Carroll, and speculation over Skrtel too. Sounds like we're prepared/resigned to losing a big player, and that may not necessarily be down to Rodgers, given he stated already he didn't want Agger to go.

Getting rid of players is fine providing you replace them with better. Time will only tell if that's the case but he has to be given the opportunity to build his own team.

Well the flip side is, we could keep him and he can get a knock and be out for a few months. That's the reality. Personally though I hope we keep him, we need to keep our best players and that group at the minute would only consist of about 6 definites: Reina, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Gerrard, Suarez. Keep them, the rest I'm not that arsed about. If Agger wants to go though, or Rodgers has been told he has to sell to buy, he can't really win. Yes, and so is the fucking nonsense surrounding the club's apparent treatment of its own players. If fans want to be concerned about it, they have a damn right to be concerned.

Transfers could be arranged from the start of June.
They could be signed from the start of July.
They can be signed UNTIL the end of August.
So the window effectively has been opened for 2 and a bit months.
(and 2 and bit months ago i was telling people not to fucking panic until much later)
The window shuts in less than three weeks.
And our squad is a fucking mess.
And with question marks, BIG ones hanging over Bellamy, Skrtel, Agger and Carroll.
