Thanks Tom. I thought nobody had noticed
A song for him (you need to understand Jack's joke, and be a bunnymen fan):

Rasmus the disease
Twixt midfield & attack
Plays with such ease
Looking for just one chance

As Suarez delivers and Carroll nods down
Rasmus will pounce to put the blues one down

Rasmus, the disease ...

I've never watched a youtube clip of a player before where a whole minute is him being stretchered off. He did it really well though.

The most interesting thing about that youtube clip was that Shaka Hislop was co commentator.

Oh ...there is that bit in the video? I never got that far.

Whoever the fuck is able to watch a 10min video of a defensive midfielder...?

He looks like he'd be suited to playing in the 2 in a 4231 setup. He doesn't look very good but at least it might mean they see Gerrard playing in a more advanced role next season. It would be nice to think there is a plan in place anyway.

Dont try and justify it Whitey, we have spent years signing fucking decentish players who are decentish. Right back to Smicer and Baros. We need top talent or we wont do anything next year. A shite 8m euro replacement for Adam who will play the same role to roughly the same standard is a fucking pointless waste of 8m
Its making me feel fucking sick.

Dalglish makes personal trip to watch £50m-rated striker Giroud in action

By Sportsmail Reporter

Liverpool have joined the list of clubs showing interest in Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud.

Manager Kenny Dalglish and assistant Steve Clarke watched Montpellier's 1-0 victory at Toulouse on Friday night and were joined in the stands by Arsenal scout Gilles Grimandi and Bayern Munich's general manager Christian Nerlinger.

Although there were other players on show that have attracted Liverpool's interest in the past year, including Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko and Montpellier captain and defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, it is understood Giroud was the focus of Dalglish's attention.

Failed to impress: Olivier Giroud missed a penalty in front of Kenny Dalglish

However, the striker struggled to impress and missed a penalty.

Dalglish has identified a striker, right-sided midfielder and defender as his priorities for this summer.

Giroud is rated at £50m but is understood to have a release clause considerably lower at £13.5m.

The stumbling block though could be his desire to play in the Champions League.

Montpellier should qualify while Liverpool will be in the Europa League.

They could have been watching just about anyone.

Is Carroll's fee going to be the benchmark for any fee we'll pay for a striker now?

50 fucking million. I'd eat my dick if anyone paid that much for Giroud.

I have a feeling the owners don't want us spending +£20 Million on players any more. Hence why we're looking at bargains.

I won't mind bargains, providing they're good enough. There is obviously some out there

Liverpool boss Dalglish runs the rule over Arsenal target Belhanda

PUBLISHED: 05:58 GMT, 1 May 2012 | UPDATED: 05:58 GMT, 1 May 2012
Liverpool have joined Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain in the race for Montpellier winger Younes Belhanda.
Manager Kenny Dalglish made a personal check on the 22-year-old who has scored 11 goals in 27 matches as Montpellier have surged to the top of the Ligue 1 table.

Target: Montpellier's Younes Belhanda (centre)
Belhanda's form has also alerted Arsenal and PSG who sent scouts to watch him in action.
However, the duo are likely to have to do battle with Liverpool if they want the Morocco international.

----------------------

He's not really a winger he's more of an attacking midfielder.
If we get Belhanda, Ramirez and possibly a striker like Jovetic. It'll be the most exciting window ever.
What bothers me with Belhanda is that he plays for Morocco so he'll be off to Africa in the middle of the season for a month every two years.

If he's good enough that we'll be bothered by that in a year and a halves time, I'll get over it.

Sportsmail reporters seem to be playing a sort of spot the ball competition - they know Dalglish and Clarke were watching Montpellier, so they're trying to work out which player they were most making eye contact with during the game!

They may have been watching Musa Sissoko of Toulouse the defensive midfielder no one really knows.
