Snippet in the times saying Ajax would sell him if we meet their £20 million price tag.

Also says we enquired about remy from marselle

It's a long thread mate stretching back two years. Can you explain again, please?
Nothing's set in stone of course mate but he's apparently refused several offers from them already latest being this Summer, as his agent recently revealed.

He's not a player for the money and City's recent approach is not the first approach he's refused point blank.

His goal and assist today (loved the way he calmly rolled his foot over the ball before finishing):

Where would he play? We're a bit crowded in the AM position.
This is what I hope to see in our central midfield for years to come

Allen.............Shelvey
.........Eriksen.............

Allen and Eriksen have got the potential to form one of the most scintillating partnerships in the Premiership for years and then add the raw power and never say die attitude of Shelvey and you've got a midfield capable of not only dominate possession but one that won't bulk under pressure either.

Sahin won't come cheaply and despite being fond of him he's not imo as unique a talent as Eriksen nor as young why I wouldn't mind us spunk the £10M more on the latter. With Suso, Lucas and Gerrard in the squad as well we'd be well prepared for coming Seasons.

You won't be disappointed mate.

True, but crowded with players that aren't very good at being AMs.

That said, Eriksen is the very definition of a luxury purchase right now unless our owners are about to go on a 60M spending spree.

Sorry Ross

Champions League: Manchester City vs Ajax 'I STILL don't see any point in moving to City' Eriksen doesn't regret snubbing champions

'I feel much more at home at a club like Ajax. I really don’t want to swap this club for another yet' says Danish wonderkid

AMSTERDAM, Great Dane: Eriksen has been chased by Europe's elite
Ajax whizz-kid Christian Eriksen is aiming to once again make Roberto Mancini pay for the snub that made him to reject a move Manchester City.
Eriksen turned down the chance to join City 17 months ago when Mancini decided to go on a holiday rather than stay in Manchester to give the Dane a tour of the club.

Now, after dismantling City’s Champions League hopes in Amsterdam 11 days ago, Eriksen will look to take a wrecking ball to Mancini’s hopes of landing a Europa League consolation when he does arrive at the Etihad on Tuesday night.

Eriksen said: “I think many other players would have said ‘Yes’ to City’s offer, but I had my own reasons for turning them down.

“I remember my agent calling me to tell me that they had come in for me, but I told him straight away that I did not see any point in moving to Manchester City – and I still don’t. At the end of my career, we will see if I took the right decision.

“But I feel much more at home at a club like Ajax. I really don’t want to swap this club for another yet.”

Eriksen’s Monaco-based agent Martin Schoots had several meetings with City officials about a proposed £20m deal.

Schoots was in talks that were to pave the way to a deal which would have earned his client a six-fold income hike. But when Eriksen discovered that Mancini had departed on a family holiday to Sardinia after winning the FA Cup and securing a place in the Champions League, he didn’t feel wanted.

Eriksen added: “Age-wise, I am still a young boy. But I have played in both the World Cup and the Euros for Denmark.

“If you wanted a clothes size to judge my status, I would say that I am between medium and large.

“So, I still have some growing time to get to XL!”

Eriksen is stalling with regards to renewing his current contract with Ajax, one that runs untill 2014.

Run Eriksen, Run!

So far the young midfielder has covered more ground than anyone else in this Season's Champions League.

78.186 meters in his 540 minutes on the pitch.

Second on the list is Armenian hot-shot Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Shakthar covering 74.361 meters whilst oldie but goodie, Andrea Pirlo, is sitting 3rd with 72.361 meters in his legs.

*Only Zlatan has assisted more goals, 5, than Eriksen on 4.

Odd. Kilometres, maybe? Or 78,186 metres?
It's not the first time I've fucked up the punctuation marks. Should've been a "," not a ".".

78,186 metres is correct.

Not so much 78.186, which by all means seems a very precise measure albeit a very unsatisfyingly amount of covered ground over the run of 90 minutes.

Even so for Big Jan back in the days as he easily covered more than a 100 during the full 90.

The Danish Henderson basically.

That is very impressive indeed. It's rare for a player with his technical ability to possess great stamina as well.

Not surprised Mkhitaryan is on this list as well. But Pirlo? What a legend. I would give this year's Golden ball to him.
