Bob used Phil Thompson, Cally, Tommy Smith, Terry Mac, David Johnson, Case, Fairclough, Lee, Boersma, Lawler.
Kenny used Aldo, MacMahon, Lee, Ablett, Marsh and Macmanaman.
Just think it's a shame there's only an injured Flanno in this squad.

Did Kenny even play McManaman and Marsh much if at all? They were barely starting in the squad when he left. Surely it's more relevant to look at the actual first team regulars. We won the double, for example, with this team:

Bruce Grobbelaar, Mark Lawrenson, Jim Beglin, Steve Nicol, Ronnie Whelan, Alan Hansen, Kenny Dalglish, Craig Johnston, Ian Rush, Jan Molby, Kevin MacDonald.

No Scouser among them. First and foremost I want a team that wins stuff. In an ideal world that's a team with several Scousers in it, but for me it's secondary to winning stuff. I don't want Souey's era back when he was bunging all of them in and we struggled.
