Slot-ball

Clearly this Waldier chap hasn't done his research over what (and who) Arne has to work with, although it will be intriguing to see which players Arne boots out the door first (excluding the ones forced onto him).

If the reason for no summer purchases was because Slot might have said he'd like to look at the players playing in his system for a season first, then I'd like him even more. He'll now have a much clearer idea of who needs replacing and in what positions.
We can definitely do better in controlling games while in possession, so looking forward to seeing who he replaces.

Midfielder is the sure bet.
A winger/striker too if it doesn't work out with Chiesa.

Agreed, although i think he’ll have a good view by now too. He was quite clear in pointing out he got about 2 weeks with the full squad before the season started so wasn’t going to make sweeping assumptions.

In the Slot ball vs Klopp ball, I much prefer Slot ball its far slower and neutrals will hate it, but it makes for far less stressful viewing. I know if we're 2-0 up the opposing team is 9/10 dead and buried. With Klopp we have let 2 goals lead slip away.

Sure, but let's see if Slot can beat the club's record points total a couple of times, win the CL, PL, domestic cups etc, before starting the conversation of which one is actually more effective.

Klopp is a living legend, he is upthere with Shankley, Paisley, Fagen and SKD but the high octane football was not good for the heart or anxiety level. Slot's style is much slower and it feels more controlled. I just like the feeling of not being stressed when watching games

My 13 year old son asked me to rate Liverpool managers of my lifetime, so here I go...

1. Bob
2. Kenny
3. Klopp
4. Rafa
5. Joe
6. Gerard Hou

7-10. Everyone else. Slot - too soon to say.

Actually, I'm have the same time frame. I just can't remember a manager before Kenny. But Paisley and Fagan are in my lifetime.

Na just older than some, younger than any “old da” I know.i have friends having kids in their 50s!!!
We are probably roughly the same age, like many on here.

Mid 40s, kids between 5-15.

I just had a moment thinking I wasn't alive before Kenny.

Because Joe inherited such a good set up I think. I rate the Rafatollahs accomplishments higher because it was a rebuild and … 2 CL finals. It’s a tight call though

They said before the Chelsea game that the next 10 games would tell a lot about Liverpool this season. We're nine games in now and the results are

Chelsea - W

Leipzig - W

Arsenal - D

Brighton - W

Brighton - W

Leverkusen - W

Villa - W

Southampton - W

Real - W

And the tenth is City.

So what have we found out since then?

Incredibly Klopp had a 100% lose record against RM. He lost 5 games and drew 1 (where we lost over two legs). Didn’t win one game.

Slot has a 100% win record against them
Benitez had a 100% record (only 2 games)
Paisley too! (Only one)
Brendan R - 100% loss (2 games)
