People please stop being tits, we won, fourth is now in our hands with us being on a level peg with those around us and we beat a rival.
What?

4 Tottenham 22 38
5 Man City 21 38
6 Liverpool 22 37
7 Aston Villa 21 36
Exactly what I said, going from 4 points behind to 1 point behind rather than 7 points.

On a side note, how long did Andy Gray persist with debating the defoe offside. He carefully omitted the possible foul on Reina too.

I'm happy we won, but if city and villa win their games in hand, we are 4 points behind once again.

We aren't on a level peg with anyone. We kept things tight, but it's one win, like a number of other spotty, infrequent wins.

We need to start winning consistently, and while this win was encouraging and has made me smile, it'll take a run of results to make me think fourth is in our hands.

Yes etc...

For the first time all season I really enjoyed the game tonight. The boys showed passion and commitment and that's all we ask. I can handle bad results if the effort is there and tonight it clearly was. It was a good exciting game and I really got into for the first time in ages. Well done Liverpool. Keep it up.

Not bothered to read what ppl are saying about our players.

WE WON

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

WE WON 🙂 we are 1 point atm... and if we got back to 4points because they wont their games in hand.. who gives a fuck!! just enjoy the win 🙂

With the inconsistancy in the league this season City and Villa winnign isnt a guarantee. Our form in the league has been good of late and shows signs of getting a decent run together.

Im happy and optimistic Farky! Bite Me!

Great commitment. But this sort of chasing and harrying isn't sustainable for 90minutes. You have to try and play some football eventually, even if it's just to alleviate the pressure on the defence. Otherwise we're are just going to get tired (eventually) and be there for the taking.
Great win, and the commitment shows we want to win games again...couldn't ask for more.

Though a fewmore United losses would be nice.

We were driving home from the match down Smithdown Road, when we noticed Xavier Mascherano was alongside us, also driving home, in some kind of souped-up Audi. He was driving rather carefully and steadily which surprised me - I would have expected him to zigzag along the road, clattering any other cars he should come across.

I manoeuvered my car so we stopped alongside Mascherano at the lights - I wound my window down, gave him the thumbs up and shouted "Good game!" - which I thought was fair enough as he did have a good game.

Xavier smiled and waved, then the lights changed.

I was beginning to get seriously worried after all those squandered chances but that was some cool as ice shit from Kuyt there. Two fantastic penalties.

Also, these last 5-10mins have shown why some afford N'Gog a little patience. Wonderful cameo from him today.
He did well when he came on. It's worth noting he had a partner in Kuyt and wasn't being asked to deputize for Torres in a 4-5-1 on this occasion. That's how it should be going forward. And I'd rather see him come on in games we're leading, than start big games where there's heaps of pressure on him.
Plenty of us pointed this out in the post-Stoke game the other day, which you waded in to and declared it was all irrelevent because "he shouldn't be anywhere near our team because he's simply not good enough".

Changed your tune pretty quickly mate.

How silly of me! I hate getting details like that wrong!

I won't make the same mistake twice I promise you. 🙂

Possible? Defoe pulled him down by the neck...

Remember when Rafa made that "supposed Game Over" gesture against Blackburn last season ?

When Fat Sam and Ginsoak made up that story about Rafa being the rudest man in the world ever ?

Well, Dirk did it last night after he scored the penalty.

The second picture livvy posted (of Colonel Dirk leading the troops) shows the approximate time.

I fuckin' love me some Dirkage. Crazy, I know, I just can't help it.

He's a great penalty taker isn't he ?
