Miscellaneous - liverpool thread

still don’t hate him

Klopp earlier today giving his first press conference as head of global soccer at Red Bull:

Kloppo about Mo:
"I hope he [Salah] stays. He is the biggest striker Liverpool has had in modern times. Obviously there were other good strikers. Fantastic player, fantastic human being. Outstanding athlete. The best ambassador your country could have, fantastic in all departments. So I hope he stays at Liverpool.”

About the contracts:
“I am so happy that I am not in charge of that situation. Why should I do that now? Good luck. From my point of view I would like all of them to extend their contracts. They haven’t told me. Maybe I should text them.”

About LFC this season:
“I’m so happy that they do so well. That was what I was hoping for. I am in contact with some people, texting Arne. There is not one percent that thinks I should be there.

“I wish them all the best and I watch as many games as I can. It’s great football, even if you don’t support Liverpool you must watch them."

He also went on to mention what a terrible job Hughes has done before the camera cut.
Kloppo on Hughes and Edwards:
"Now you realise I wasn't the problem. Edwards wanted to sell everyone. I did not work with Hughes but I did meet him once and he was asking me about calendars...I said I don know”

So NOT actually saying what a terrible job Hughes has done 🤣

I am sure Liverpool Calendars flew of the shelf leading upto Christmas.

We already had the two best keepers in the league and he signs a 3rd and then he signs an Italian write-off who at best is a project - I wasn't against it but I was expecting more signings.
Its likely we will get no one in Jan and our ongoing negotiation with Salah, trent and VVD will continue, how would you assess him?
Now he might not be the obstacle but he gets the brunt of it because that is what he has been hired for.

You (and all of us) know nothing of why we signed the Georgian.
You (and all of us) know nothing of what is happening in January.
You (and all of us) know nothing of the ongoing negotiations and why that haven't yet been renewed.
You (and all of us) know nothing of what the discussions behind closed doors are regarding revamping the team (which most on here used to prefer, rather than airing it in public)!

So I'll assess him when he's had a chance to implement whatever strategy the club have. Likely after next Summer.

In the meantime I crease my sides and shake my head at the ridiculousness of the tantrums thrown by immature adults, that belong on Arsenal TV or whatever it's called.
