Miscellaneous - liverpool thread

Couldn't disagree with this guy more... Everton will want half the revenue generated by the club but they will struggle to fill in a 55k seater stadium. The number of box seats they would sell would be a fraction of what LFC would sell. Finally they would struggle to pay the debt they've incurred

That going to be one wank place to play. The wind off the river will be a hindrance.

Liverpool's physical metrics in the Premier League this season (per 90):
• Total distance covered: 20th
• Average speed: 15th
• High-speed running distance: 9th
• Sprinting distance: 3rd
The stats above point out to the fact that Liverpool's controlling games better these days and everything seems to drive towards efficiency. They sprint and run when it's needed!
Arsenal ranks 3rd for distance covered this season. This possibly points out to why they have more injuries than Liverpool. Under Klopp, Liverpool had lots of issues with injuries because of that high intensity football but Slot has turned the tide around.

Aren’t Spurs and Bournemouth top two and they have a horrific injury list too?

Well it's true they both have horrendous injury lists but no idea if they are top two. It does potentially go someway to explaining the awful injury lists we seemly had every year under Klopp.

Please create separate post about injuries or take the conversation to Slotball. Its worth more of a conversation

In that case it'll pong twice as badly when they actually arrive.

Didn't I read somewhere that there's a sewage plant next door though?

That would seem to make sense. I've just spoken to someone else working at the place who says that yeah it's next to some shit processing place but that it doesn't ming all the time. I guess they're gonna need a rota so that it properly reeks on matchday.

Reminds me of my sister-in-law. She got married to a medical consultant, and persuaded him to sell his perfectly good town house to buy a 100+ year old country manor that was going for what looked like a bargain price. They moved in & it was next door to an abatoir - like literally just the other side of the garden wall. The noise & the stink were horrendous.

They ended up having to sell at a loss a few years later

Yeah, there's some campaign over here in New Brighton about it. Tbf the beach always looks in good knick to me, but we all know the water companies are for the shareholders above all else. More sewage was pumped this way than anywhere else.

This is brilliant. It’s a guarantee that the stadium will smell on game days.

It reminds me of the pitch I played on in nyc on Monday nights. It was an astroturf on top of a sewage plant - that went out into the Hudson river. Didn’t realize for years why instead of calling it the stadium of light, the lads called it the stadium of…
