Why are you fishing for likes, Mark...

*wink*

Incredibly annoying we yet again fail to capitalize on teams around us dropping points. Two good penalty claims today not going our way either.

Lucas was abysmal, and I think he saved our arse more than agger

Agger did as much / little as Carragher. Funny Modo hasn't got Jamie in his top 3.
No I don't but that doesn't mean that I think he had a good game. He just wasn't better than Agger, Coutinho and Gerrard.
Also, I believe Agger did more than Carra.

Agger bailed us out today, man of the match by some distance, he stopped two clear chances and was great going forward. Johnson and Suarez were poor.

Agree with that. Agger had a fine game and showed glimmers of last seasons form. Hopefully he can keep that up.

Gerrard played very well too. If we were going to score, it was going to come through him. Coutinho was good, struggled with the lack of space around him, but he still showed his class at times.

The rest? Not really worth mentioning. Too many stupid mistakes and a lack of precision and concentration. When teams come here to defend, you have to be pin-point with your passess to get through them and create a chance. We couldn't manage it.

Mention to Collins and Demel who played extremely well.

Johnson looks like he's already holidaying in Spain. His form has been quite mediocre for at least a month, if not two. When he's on form, he's great, but he seems to have a month or two of shit form each season. When he's having the shit spell, it shows very clearly almost every time he gets near the opponents' penalty area - he hesitates, dicks around with the ball, and ends up giving it away and getting us in trouble as we're poor defending a quick breakaway and with men committed forward.

Liverpool 'outstanding' despite goalless draw at home to Hammers, says Rodgers

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers said his team's performance was 'outstanding' despite only managing a goalless draw at home to West Ham.
Their top-six hopes suffered another crushing blow as they failed to break down West Ham's stubborn defence and, three weeks after that dismal defeat at Southampton, Brendan Rodgers' side once again failed to spark, skipper Steven Gerrard coming closest to a winner when his effort was cleared off the line by the outstanding James Tomkins.

'We were outstanding in terms of our game and very frustrated we didn't get the three points,' said Rodgers.

Outstanding: Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers praised his team despite only managing a 0-0 draw at home to West Ham

'We kept pushing from the first minute but West Ham defended very well.
'In that situation, you have either got to score early or you need that wee bit of luck.
'Unfortunately when we did score it was deemed offside but when you see it again Sturridge was clearly onside.'

Laughable.

Jesus how where we outstanding..

If we won 3-4 nil the yes.. But @ 0-0..

Shut yer cake ol.. Fudgson

But we did play well, west ham just defended exceptionally well.

FSG can't even bring proceedings against the deluded fool, as the dictionary definition of outstanding is actualy quite apt. Saved by his ignorance.

Fuck. Some very harsh comments against Agger.

The troll's are out tonight....

And tomorrow they will start a thread about how lucky Agger was to get two long shots on target as he can't shoot, defend, headddzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......

Agger, Gerrard and Carragher were the best for us. Coutinho played in patches but always looked dangerous. Suarez had one of those days when nothing he did came off. He'll put that performance behind him and move on. Don't get the Lucas or Johnson bashing. Lucas was caught in possession once which was a fuck up but regained possession well and moved it quickly throughout. He also prevented a clear cut goal for them. Johnson wasn't his usual swashbuckling self but he wasn't that poor was he? Agger made some fine interceptions and blocked some dangerous crosses coming in. Collins was the best player on the pitch, Suarez made it easy for him. Showed him way too much of the ball at times.

Sturridge was too far from their goal. He did most of his good work either too deep or out too wide. West Ham time wasting was pathetic. Tompkins was really taken the piss having a fine rest for himself late in the second half.

First time this season the attendance is over 45k.
45 007

We actually have a higher average this season than last.

I watched on a stream with no sound and thought that Sturridge was onside, but as nobody else mentioned it I thought I must have been mistaken

I thought we were total shit.

James Collins had Suarez in this pocket from the first minute. None of our other players are much good. OK, Coutinho and Gerrard can play football... But let's get real about Henderdownerlucas. None are any better than anyone in their relative position in the top 10.

8 - Liverpool had the most shots on target in the Premier League this weekend but were one of only four teams not to score. Frustrated.

no. I watched for 75 minutes and cant remember Jasca having to take of any more than a couple of routine saves

It's a really weird stat.

We did well at keeping the ball blah blah and I'm sure we had loads of possession. But shots?

Fuck. Some very harsh comments against Agger.

Agreed.

We looked lethargic all over the park. Too many players playing too many games. This is why 'whats our best 11?' does my brain in - your best 11 can't play every fucking week.
