Shit first half, much improved in the second. Why did Downing start? West Ham's time wasting was embarrassing but that's down to the ref to clamp down on early instead of the token yellow card 5 minutes from time. The ref was shite, Collins was brilliant, Suarez is knackered. We should have won, we didn't and that's why I see little signs of improvement. If a team parks the bus we struggle, same as the last umpteen seasons.

Well Cole didn't get much joy in the air but Agger gave the ball away about 4 times. I thought he was pretty average.

We have 4 points more this season and we were dreadful in the 3 cups we entered.
With Suarez and Gerrard playing in almost every game.
It's minimal improvement if any at all.

We've been on a downward spirral in the league since 2009. Progress in my eyes is a higher point tally and a better league finish.
Even more so in a season where a new manager is implementing his ideas and system.
