ThisHe was incredibly ponderous in attacking positions today. He's still got no balls, and regardless of his slightly better than eye-bleedingly-poor form of late he still needs moving on sooner rather than later. Hopefully he can have a purple patch and raise his value a little bit.
He still lacks bottle when it opens up before him. We all know he's got a great touch, bit of pace etc, but he annoys the fuck out of me a lot of the time.
To be fair he did do a decent job at this.I thought he was ok, he did shit out a few times though. Aside from a break late on when he should have slipped Suarez in, I thought he was a good outlet for us and helped us keep possession well. Of course we need more than that, but anyway, horses for courses and all that, he protected Wisdom well too.
He will never please some.
This
He is so frustrating, getting onto decent positions to take on the full back yet refusing to do so or playing a nothing ball into the penalty area when there is nobody there.😡
and Carra?I'm loving this...
Carra did well. But this thread is about Stewie Downing Jr.and Carra?
I agree, he has had the best six weeks we are going to see from him in a Liverpool shirt, we need to sell him in the next 24 hours because the price is gonna keep on dropping. I genuinely wish him the best somewhere else, but it hasn't worked at Liverpool for him, and definitely not for us. 20 million, no no no no no!This is the best we're ever likely to see from him.
He has to be sold in the summer.
He really wasn't an irrational buy. It made sense. He just didn't deliver. Now he's doing something, but he OUGHT to be doing what he was bought to do week in week out.
I imagined a scientist behind a one-way mirror looking at Downing going:Good. I abbreviated my response.
